I have no idea really, but I won't be surprised in Knight didn't hate the idea of coming to the Nashville area where he and Macintyre will face very similar (if not completely common) opponents. If this was in fact Knight's thinking, fair play to him.

I also don't think Tennessee is doing anything wrong or out of the ordinary here, so that comment isn't to be shade at Tennessee either. Back-up plans are needed in the recruiting game for sure and it is a juggling act no doubt. This is just what I was told by someone who follows Tennessee football closely. The recent change at Lipscomb from an athletic prospective (starting when they hired Trent Dilfer) has created an influx of higher quality players and most of the top end guys have ended up at UT in the end.
Thanks, I was just being a little snarky the recruiting process in general, and yeah both the recruit and the school have to have back-up plans. Nashville does have some crazy talent right now, so I looked it up. Starting 30 years ago the population has more than doubled and really took off 20, so lots of new and different talent.

Can't wait to see mom's shocked face when he fakes the ND hat & puts the Ole Miss one on.
