So, BK, as an outsider, with little to no connection to Louisiana and its powerhouse schools (John Curtis, Edna Karr, Destrehan, Rummel, West Monroe, Ouachita, Evangel, Calvary, Southern Lab, U High, Zachary, E.D. White, Shaw,Catholic, Parkview, St, Thomas Moore, Barbe, Ruston, etc…) did better in his first 2 seasons than Orgeron, a local and native, that’s been entrenched in Louisiana high school football.

Anything else …? 😉😂
If you look at the 2022 class that had a lame duck coach for 95% of the recruiting cycle it had a better finish than the classes which were lead by BK 🤫😂

His classes are getting worse as his on field results got better. Way to capitalize BK. He even has NIL to help him and yet…..he’s doing worse than the years that preceded him.

Hah, I am, but just having a little fun with some of the posters. I’m cautiously optimistic, however. I said in another IE thread that in today’s college football, it’s tough to get excited over any player committing and even signing. In today’s climate, kids can’t grasp the definition of “commitment”and the transfer portal allows anyone to up and leave in at the drop of a hat, which may or may not contain shit. 😉
This is true, but it’s also why Kelly may be better suited for this era than the previous one. His strong suit is program organization, delegation, and consistency. When he has good assistants, he wins. His weakness is that he would rather be on the golf course than whispering sweet nothings in the ear of a teenager. Give him NIL support to get the key transfers and top HS players via $$ and give him the right assistants and he’ll be competitive. Where he got himself into trouble at ND was always some combination of bad hires, loyalty, and apathy.

I like him even more now. 😂

Adults can’t grasp the definition of commitment. Where do you think the kids are learning it from? It’s just business.
Unfortunately, this is true. I’m a military brat and I guess my definition of commitment differs from the majority.

Money talks I guess, but the Sherrone Show hasn’t exactly been inspiring thus far.

As hilarious as it would be to see this happen to BK, I’d definitely prefer Underwood at LSU than UM.

Michigan fans are blinded about how bad their QB situation is this year that they’re going to spend most of their NIL budget on it without realizing their roster is going to have a TON of holes next year. Their defense is going to be replacing a ton of production. A 5 star freshman QB getting that big of a bag is not a good investment for next year. I hope it happens tbh.

This would be the funniest outcome because it’d hurt Brian Kelly and secure Michigan a QB that won’t have anyone to play with because their recruiting has been cheeks for awhile now.

I would say this isn't sustainable, but it is for large collectives maybe? How many flops will it take for these donor bases to say "what are we doing"?
That's just it. I think the massive collectives are just holding out until the split from the NCAA happens and it truly becomes pay for play with contracts, free agency, and a real minor league sadly.

That's my thoughts at least.

This.

For some perspective on this: Graham, Johnson and Grant are all projected first rounders. Then you have Moore, Stewart, Moore, Barnham going off the board among rounds 2-5. Seven defensive players.

I give Harbaugh credit. His exit strategy ends up looking pretty damn solid across the board. Got out while the getting was good.

I’d rather spend NiL money on a. Transfer QB compared to someone who hasn’t proved anything

Exactly. Michigan has tons of talent this year still. Wait until next year :)

Idk, I hope eventually ND develops a guy who can be a starter for multiple years, like Carr. Why not both? Balance the budget and allocate some NIL $$ for the 4-5* stud and the 5th year transfer when you need a year to bridge the gap.

I agree, I'd rather pay Leonard or Ward 2 Milly than some kid from a small school in MS who is going up against 5'9 DB's who run 5.5's

Reminds me of my freshman football team. We were all hand timed by the coaches and only 2 kids broke 5.0 ( they were fully grown men, too.) The rest of us were barely in to puberty; some were running 7+ second 40s!
