He sounds like an incredible young man. Very grounded decision. Though it’s a long time to ‘25 NSD, it sounds like it shouldn’t matter.

I think it’s clear that since Keon Keeley, his mom & his uncle all wanted a pay day, that ND should no longer take commits…ever again.
And by all means, we should lump every recruit & their families together no matter what.
I’m amazed ND has 85 scholarship players with all the flips to other schools by players who committed to ND…

That’s crazy (lucky it’s sarcastic).
The best bet is just not get overly excited about a young fella verbally “committing”.
It is good but, yeah, let’s see.

It’s incredible to me that people are trying to spin that as Keon or his family being money hungry. That’s a life changing amount of money and he’s playing for the best program in the country. He’d be a fool to pass up that opportunity.

I’m not spinning anything. I’m not calling him money hungry.
Im stating facts. Others can decide how to feel about those facts.
He committed to ND. He & his mom both state academics are his number one priority (when he was 150th ranked).
He gets 5th Star and his mom tweets out that if someone knocks on the door with a million dollars they will listen.
An uncle, who previously wasn’t part of the process, who is an Alabama fan, starts to convince Keon & his mom they need to visit Alabama.
Those are all facts. No spin.

The great thing about being an ND fan these days, is that whenever something good happens, we can find a way to make it a negative.

I was simply just stating a point to Lucky. Lucky is a very good poster on this site and tries to see everything positive.

KK was completely Irish like other states his mom made a comment about a million dollar payment and it started to unravel.

This young man is his own person and has his own situations to deal with. 2025 is out there a little bit. It’s good to be excited but these recruiting time aren’t like 5 years ago, so we need to settle them down a little bit.

All true.

That being said, my first thought on this particular verbal was they are going to have to massage this guy for two years to before he puts pen to paper, which is true of all your verbals regardless of what class they're in and what they're ranked. I suppose time will tell how it all ends up.

Staffs are now recruiting the players on their roster, their verbal commits and the remaining uncommitted prospects they want. This is the NIL and Portal Era for everyone. You are constantly recruiting everyone, all day every day.

Above anything else, who gives a shit about Keon Keeley. I personally do not.
