This year does kind of undermine the narrative that Freeman is a super-recruiter.

It's a fine class (by ND standards), but not great. Here are my grades:

- QB: B (project with high upside and low downside)
- RB: B
- WR: C (huge need, lots of misses, Burress looks good)
- TE: A (they seem to always identify good TEs, so I'm assuming he's good)
- OT: A+ (best recruiting in a while)
- OG: B+ (didn't really need anyone, and I like Herron's athleticism)
- DT: B (good, but no one dominant or huge)
- DE: B+ (some clear upside, but no sure elite guy)
- LB: B+ (good, but needed another)
- CB: A (they seem to always identify good DBs, so I'm assuming they're good)
- S: A (they seem to always identify good DBs, so I'm assuming they're good)
- K: A (got lucky late)

Reminds me of Stanford recruiting during the Harbaugh era.

I like that combo alot but imagine Watts and Downs....that would've been historic! The combo of Ransom and Downs is probably a 3rd and 1st Rd combo as well

How about a combo of KVA and Faraimo at LB? Does that move the needle for you or is there a pending movement of the goalposts.

If people aren’t seeing Sneeds rapid improvement they are blind. He is the fastest player in the front 7 by a good margin. Pay him a bit if need be. Pay him per sack. $10,000 per sack.
