Open to the public, correct? Don't see any issue unless it was premium content.

AFAIK, the only potential legal issue here is copyright, and it would be very difficult to argue that "Jaylon Smith - #1 OLB" is protected intellectual property.

I concur.

I write and deal with algorithms all the time and they are as proprietary as as saying 2+2 =4. That just says we wrote CPU program that ranks the recruits according to x# variables and the only thing proprietary is what variables we used..... and we don't have to tell you how we did it. Money ball is all it is. Lulz....with a copy of C++ and an excel data spreadsheet of the recruit's stats, I could write a "proprietary algorithm."

The entire BCS CPU rankings are algorithms. At least they show you how it is calculated.... 24/7 just took a nose dive in my book for that one.

15 years ago a composite ranking of the various recruiting services rankings was a standard feature on AggieInsider.com when he was an independent. When he became the A& M affiliate for one of the recruiting services ( scout?) the parent group made him drop it not because of copyright concern but because they didn't want to recognize other services existed.

When a recruiting analyst links a premium article on Twitter, they almost always follow it with ($) to let their followers know that only members will be able to read it.

Yes, it was very insightful of Danielson to comment that Nix had previously been an O
Lineman, that both backup Tight Ends were previously on the defensive side of the ball and that Everett Golson was a true freshman. He brought his A game for sure. Go back to the SEC and give me my Mayock.

Back to the rankings. It is crazy how USC has verbal committments from 4 of the top 14 ranked players, 7 of the top 40, 10 of the top 68 ranked players and for icing on the cake add the 78th ranked player also for a total of 11 of the top 78 ranked seniors in high school.

If we can haul in Mackensie Alexander who is no. 6 on ESPN's list among a few others we could end up top 5 in their list too. This has been a very fun recruiting season thus far! Love all the kids that are on board and love where we stand with remaining targets! Now boys go win the state of Michigan!
