No. MF sucks ass. Carr can go wherever he wants. ND is a dumpster fire. Freeman is worse than Frost. Carr is good as gone. This fiasco will grow worse when we lose next weekend and the following.

Completely depends on the offensive coordinator hire. The staff already had conversations with the Carr family regarding Rees's succession. Only difference being, in that scenario, Rees would have moved on via promotion to either college HC or NFL coordinator.

In all seriousness, Notre Dame cannot fuck around with Rees's replacement. It can make or break the entire offensive class for next year and beyond.

The fate of this program for so many of you seems to hinge on Lloyd Carr's grandson skipping a year of high school.

Regardless if he comes next year or the year after I’m taking a grad transfer QB we can’t start Carr as a true freshman

We should be going to the portal next season regardless of Carr's status. That said, the most Notre Dame way for this to play out is actually Angeli winning the starting job for the next 3.5 years and Carr transferring out (if he ever even signs with us in the 1st place)...

Agreed, but it appears that they are only going to take grad transfers and not use the portal.

People keep talking on and on about NIL, but the transfer portal is only starting to show the effects on the game. Marshall had eight guys from Power Five schools? That's a lot of players. Then you have USC, which makes me ill just discussing.

I don't think ND is going to utilize the portal and if they do I'm guessing they won't be liberal about it.

100% agreed ND will never leverage the portal the way these other schools are. It will still be 95% grad transfers and the occasional, rare undergrad transfer. And SOMEHOW, despite the current transfer rules, the NCAA will STILL make them sit out a year lol
