Andddddd he will never be allowed to do that again , Please and thank you lol
But damn does he look athletic for a QB going up for a pass. No way Jack Coan was doing something like that. I think CJ, if we’re comparing athletic ability, looks way more athletic to Dante. He’s not going to be Tyler Buchner by any means, but he looks to be a superior passer, with more accuracy and velocity. I’m excited to see his tape as a junior. He’s about to explode I think. He lives pretty close to me, if I don’t forget, I might go try and catch a Saline game on a Friday night. Something to do.

Already talked to some relatives about heading to Saline for a Friday night game. Only about an hour drive, his numbers as a Sophomore were absurd. Can't wait to see what kind of stats he puts up this Fall.

i feel with the crickets on the recruiting trail for ‘23 QB it had to be a sign CJ is reclassifying. It would seem if he wasn’t, there’d be at least a whisper of interest in someone else leaking through the cracks somewhere.

If he reclassifies, they need to go for the best 2024 QB they can find. The fact they've cut off contact with Sayin makes zero sense to me, but either way go get another guy. If he doesn't, start wetting hooks and see if you get any bites from a 2023 guy.

An elite, high end QB in every class. Let itself sort out otherwise.

Gauge the interest of every five star that interests you. Period.

Loved his visit. Best one yet. Spent most of his time with Wingo and Williams.

Saw his interview with Singer and Hyde on what ever their show is called.
Wow he sounds like he could be the OC. I can see why they took him over Dante Moore.

He’s everything Dane Moore is not. Team minded, not chasing largest pay out, a recruiter, decisive, confident outgoing personality, trailblazer that didn’t follow the path of least resistance. He’s also ranked lower than he should be. After his Elite 11 performances, I don’t understand why he’s still in the 4-5 range for QBs. I think he’s clear #1 or 2. Jadyn Davis is ranked too high by rivals. There are a could of other guys that are sus to me like DJ Lagway. They are not the passers that CJ Carr is.

Makes you wonder if they pulled the anti-Manning thing. Many feel Manning is waaaay overrated and is only where he is at due to his name. Think it could be a gut reaction to that thinking is why they have him low?

100%. even if you go back a couple of months a lot of the recruiting reporters at camps were mentioning how outgoing and upbeat Carr was with other players while Moore was in his own head barely conversing with anyone. I think too you have to remember the kind of things Carr has been through and the support system he has around him whereas with Moore he seems mollycoddled and is basically being treated as a commodity by his family

It’s going to be hard to keep him ranked 4-6 because he will continue to go to camps and beat the guys ahead of him. He could finish 1 or 2, unless the sites are resistant to change at the top like they are with the ‘23 QBs. I hear a lot about how good Raiola is and I’m sure he’s good and he has a bigger cannon, but I’ve yet to hear of anyone as accurate as CJ Carr, ‘23 or ‘24. Sayin is close but CJ had the highest score at Elite 11 this season. If they (Raiola amd Sayin) show up to the same camp, CJ will have a chance to show them up. Or, Raiola might ditch camps like Manning. IDK.

du Lac not every kid that isn’t going to ND has to be overrated. This is like clowning Justice Haynes and Richard Young the other day. All these kids are good too lol. Tommy loved Raiola and Sayin. Love Carr. I’m sure somewhere may rank CJ higher one day. Some places won’t. CJ should be a consensus 5 star and Top 3-4 QB, after that being #11 versus #18 or something like that doesn’t really matter.

I think we all need to be fair to Dante Moore in that how he is/was being advised is very different than how Carr is being advised. I think Moore with a different support structure would've conducted himself very differently. Is what it is.

I only said I think sub 6’0 Jadyn Davis is ranked too high and CJ too low. I took nothing away from Raiola or Sayin.

My point on Haynes and Young was that I thought Love might have more upside if he reached his best. I’d still take Young over Love. I was poking a bit of fun as I hate Bama.

i don't understand how Moore keeps getting the "oh he's a great kid" then all the decisions/moves he makes seem to say otherwise.

If we read between the lines are folks just saying his parents are trash or something?

It will be interesting to track CJ's rankings, as it seems like most of ND's early commits don't really attack the camp circuit like CJ wants to.

The knock on early ND commits that are highly rated, then gradually fall, is that the services haven't seen them in a camp setting enough. By that logic, CJ should stay right where he's at as a 5-star, top-4 QB, as long as he continues to perform well.

If he drops anyway... then we know something fishy really is going on with ND commits and their rankings lol.

Every kid is considered a “good kid”. I’ve never heard someone say otherwise about a high school player publicly. I also think “good kid” gets thrown around by people that have no idea why they think that. Fact is, it’s not really true. All deserve the benefit of the doubt until they’re adults, however. As a public school educator and fmr coach, I can say unequivocally there are levels to what is a “good kid”. But they’re still kids and deserve to be judged in adulthood after their parents and teachers do all they can to make them “good kids”. That said, CJ Carr is a good kid. Some kids seem to stand out. ND also stands out.

Rumors say his dad has took control of the recruitment immediately after Dante gave the ND staff whatever his equivalent of a verbal/silent commitment was supposed to be.

And if you go back and look at his dad's quotes about Dante's decision timeline... it's not hard to see that those rumors might have some legs in the long run.

At first I just thought it was his dad doing interviews and giving quotes to give Dante some relief. But now I'm thinking dad really viewed it as "our" recruitment as he kept calling it, instead of "Dante's."

Just curious.

If Novosad decommits from Baylor and commits to ND does that mean he isn't a "good kid" in your eyes?
