High school sophomores that are 6’2” and run a sub 4.5 40 don’t grow on trees. I think he’ll be a top 10 receiver in the 24 class.

I'm thinking the same thing. He looks very explosive for a soph in his highlights. These are the receivers we need to be adding to the team. This will take us to the next level and give Tommy more to work with and exploit against good defenses.

SIAP….

I was looking at Cam’s rankings and couldn’t find him on ESPN.
On3 says his ESPN ranking (thus the one they use in their consensus ranking) is 162.
But if you go to ESPN, the 162 player is a different WR named Williams, Tyler Williams, from Florida.

So…
A) Is Cam Williams not in ESPN’s top 300
B) On3 is so shitty that they have a ranking for a kid based on a totally different kid
C) Tyler Williams from Florida and Cam Williams from Illinois are the same person

D) Reaper confused 2023 and 2024
So there are both WRs named Williams ranked 162nd in back to back classes?
What are the odds of that?
E) ESPN is just really lazy

I literally googled 2024 ESPN College Football Recruiting Player Rankings and the rankings keep popping up 2023 (you have to look in the upper right corner to see they automatically pull up ‘23 no matter what you search until you change it to ‘24 there).

I didn’t see this until your reply and went back & checked.

He’s been balling.
GBS is 5-1 with two very winnable games left and they have a tough one at home a week from today against a pretty good Glenbard East team.

I always like to see how these recruits do in the playoffs wherever they're from.

I sure hopes he sticks, but what WR in their right mind would want to play in this offense?

Going to see him play Friday, my good buddy is OC for the opposing team. Excited to see him play live.

Really enjoyable interview from Sinclair with Williams, who is very thorough. On CJ Carr after the coaches left:

At first, I think CJ (Carr) was the most struck by the news. But for example, on the offensive side, Aneyas (Williams) still has coach (Deland) McCullough. I have coach (Chansi) Stuckey. Like I said, we’re not there for the coaches but we’re comfortable with them there.

When Peter (Jones) told me the offensive line coach (Harry Hiestand) left, Peter was like, ‘Yeah, it sucks,’ but he was still keen on why he chose Notre Dame.

So, maybe the main shakeup was with CJ but that blew over. I talked to him. A couple of coaches talked to him. And I think it was all sorted. It was all good. Everybody’s good.

Also says he plans to return 2+ times this spring.
