An elite edge rusher would have been a wonderful cherry on top. ND kicked the tires on a few others, but couldn't get any traction unfortunately.
One of them is the RB Coach’s kid! The other is a Stanford Grad transfer. How much better can it line up for them?

Kids like Mukam are an interesting case study.

In the current era of roster management, does it make sense to recruit developmental kids and tie up a schollie for 4 years or just keep looking for mature grads in the portal.

Take a kid like Ade Ogundeji, who was a good player and a worthwhile take at that time. But if you can get a kid like Stephon Herron in the portal, doesnt it make more sense to just allocate that spot to a steady stream of developed talent? For every Ogundeji, there is a Kofi Wardlow who never pans out.

Are you going to bring up the same crap with McCullough in every thread?

Did you watch Herron's film, or just look up his stats? The VYPER position is not strictly limited to pass rushing. ND asked Foskey to do a lot, which requires a certain flexibility and versatility from your athletes in that role. Maybe the staff just doesn't see a fit with him?

The Vyper is supposed to be pure pass rusher.

I’m almost disappointed to see this. Mukam was my personal pick for sleeper in this class. It’s hard to call him that with a top 200 rating.
Since he’s very raw and already made strides this season based on the ratings jump, I’d say he could still be a 5 star sleeper ☘️

My favorite part of these is the quotes at the end.

My favorite part of these is the quotes at the end.

They keep talking about him as an end, didn’t Freeman say that was a tackle in the signing day press conference? Has something changed?

Well since the thread was bumped anyway, holy smokes is he a large human being

That's what ND's 3rd string DT looks like...

Rooting for the kid as the Canadian/ hockey/comp level required some significant development just to be in position to contribute.
