So you’re saying this kid will be efficient?? Is that bad?
It is when he’s replacing a player that could be an AA and high NFL Draft pick. Outside of Goibarra (spelling), the Edge Rusher/Vyper position is going to really thin next year. We keep waiting on Bothello to do something, but it seems at this point, he’ll never be what they need him to be.

Traore is the edge rusher. Look at him, physically he’s basically Foskey when Foskey was 18. Except he’s substantially higher-rated as a recruit than Foskey was.
Mukam here is an inside guy.

Just came back from Aldi actually. Love it. They have everything but only a few options of everything, if that makes sense.
Their business model is genius. No frills. Stuff on the shelves in boxes. Bag your own shit. BYOB or pay for theirs. Pay a quarter for your cart.

Given that Aldi is the largest grocery in the world maybe we're onto something.

Au contraire! Lidl has the most stores in the world, Aldi has about 70% as many as Lidl.

(I know this because Lidl is one of my clients at work, and I’m sure they’d be proud of me defending them on a Notre Dame message board)

By posting this, it validates you being on IE on company time and/or billing them for the time it took you to submit this post.

He's a 4 star recruit
On one service, yes. Lets be honest, 24/7's bump was quite generous. You don't see a four-star on tape, but that's okay. He's a project similar to Onye. I don't see a VYPER in his film or in his future.

Whoever said it was right - We really haven't found a viable replacement for Keeley. Traore may start out as VYPER, but he's going to grow and add weight. Houstan and Vernon are inside guys, and Mukam is looking like a future Big End or on the inside, too.

He's not a replacement for Keeley by any stretch, but that's not his fault, and is Keeley really a Vyper?

People need to stop the notion that Mukam was Keeley's replacement. I understand that the coincidence and timing between Keeley's decommitment with Mukam's commitment gives the appearance that taking Mukam was to offset Keeley, but they are different players projected to play different roles. ND wanted a 5th DL in the class - Mukam loved ND, the staff had the need, and Mukam was an easy flip from Stanford.

Then where’s Keely’s replacement? I follow recruiting really closely and there’s no talk at all about ND being in play for an Edge rusher. And if you’re going to say M’Pemba, scrap that right now, he’s going to UGA.

Also, the 2 recruits they’ve landed in ‘24 aren’t pure Edge Rushers. Also, I don’t believe Wafle is up to snuff with how they recruited the rest of the DL.

There are not many options left to explore. ND reached out to a few players, committed ones, but it doesn't look likely that anyone will flip. They may grab someone late in the process, but not a player near Keeley's caliber. And if they don't, they have two VYPERs from last class, and Traore could most likely start off there - so numbers wise is not an issue. A graduate transfer should also be a top priority this off-season, too.

Wafle's a low four-star, but he's been dominating as a junior. The competition is average, but he moves incredibly well for an athlete of his size. Expect a rating bump at some point.

His competition is below avg. Recruits should lose half a star if they’re playing against Prep Schools.

Mate, there are many talented preparatory schools that produce good collegiate football players.

Keeley plays for Berkeley Prep. IMG is a prep school, too.

So was Pyne

Key difference:

Mukam is a recruit who was a virtual unknown until just recently who's recently shot up to borderline 4-star territory.

Pyne was a fairly high rated player in his sophomore and junior season that gradually declined to a lower 4-star.
