Visit went as well as expected, no decommitment. Oregon or Oklahoma visit for this weekend hasn't been decided on either way yet. Basically nothing has really changed following the visit. ND doing all they can.
The time has arrived.

I mean I think there's still a slight chance he comes here who knows anymore. I woulda figured he would have told Freeman he wasn't coming last night in person. If that didn't happen then who knows.

There’s no way, right?

Hot take here but if MFMF conviced him to not take 2M dollars, then MFMF is the AHOLE....

If I was ND's HC, and Bowen came to me and said, OU just offered me 2M. I would say congrats, and if you don't take that money you are an idiot.

So you would recruit against your own program and tell him not to come? Weird take but ok

I love ND but if another program is offering 2 million I’m taking it
Really depends on the assurances. If one school told me that I'll make that in my time there, and I know i'd get top notch education to boot as well as playing time, national exposure and a great connections.... That would be a business decision.

But then again, its much easier to go with the sure 2 mill up front and bet on yourself... So it can be argued both ways.

It's not like these offers are coming from UCONN and Buffalo is the problem. Oregon/aTM and some other big NIL schools offer a lot if not all of these same things. I get your point, but we can no longer rest on ND being exclusive in this regard.

Doesn't aTM have the most fortune 500 CEO's out of any school? Tons of connections in Ag/Oil. ect ect ect

Hey kid, come to my school, you might make some NIL money, but I can't promise you.

Hey kid, come to my school, here is 2 MILLION DOLLARS.

and I have the weird take?

It's your premise -- i.e., "MFMF is an a-hole if he tells the kid not to immediately decommit because there's a large offer in front of him."

Freeman's job is to pitch ND -- not to tell the kid to make life decisions that are his and his alone. Is MFMF really an "ahole" if he tells the kid that while $2 mil up front might be tempting, that he'll have every opportunity to make that (and more) at ND with the opportunities the school provides while a kid's on campus and all the years after that?

It's not like that particular pitch would be a lie; pretty sure Hamilton was making some nice $$$ his last year or two on campus.

So ND should concede recruits every time there's a larger offer on the table from a factory?

You've effectively just halved this year's class if that's the case. Hell, ISD had an update this morning saying Jeremiyah Love had some huge upfront money thrown at him, but he stuck with ND because he feels it's the best place for him. Should MF instruct him to reconsider?

Whatever helps you sleep at night. I get it, it's not fun to read/think about what I said, but it is a reality. Am I being a bit facetious w/ the Ahole comment? Sure, but I figured most on here were smart enough to pick up what I was throwing down.

Unfortunately A&M BMDs have more money and willingness to spend it than just about any other school other than Texas.

Very few elite players place weight on the education component.

Your comment equated to "Freeman is a bad guy if he tries to convince a kid to stick when there's big money on the table." That's not playing devil's advocate like you're claiming, it's a completely defeatist position that effectively would kill the program.
