It all comes down to what do you think is more likely

ND has been dead wrong for months

OU and national has been dead wrong for months

Would love to see Fong or another national guy side with ND here, until that happens I expect OU, but would love a surprise.

So tired of this whole recruitment. He’s awesome, and we obviously want him at Notre Dame. Just make a decision at this point and be done. I’m clearly biased , but Venables seems like a grade A douche bag, and Oklahoma has been down right awful for much of the year.

This young man is one hell of a football player. But I can tell you after this weekend if you can’t see this place is special then I am just not sure what to tell you. I didn’t get any special treatment (like the recruits) just me and the wife walking around campus in the cold and snow. Notre Dame is a special place. It was an awesome game, the fans were in it, and the players seemed to have a ton of fun in the snow.

JMO if you have been here as many times as he has and you have doubts it’s probably not for you. Again I can’t speak for him and I am not saying that’s how he feels.

OU still gave up almost 500 yards to Oklahoma St last night. Totally sustainable to pick off a QB 4 times because he has a separated shoulder and hasn’t practiced fully in 5 weeks.

It's ND and I don't think it's really that close. Doesn't sound like the OU visit did anything to change the notion that's been for months and like we've been saying, if he was going to flip to OU, it would've happened already. He's had several chances to ultimately make the decision to flip and hasn't.

Everything that the OU beat is saying has zero credibility IMO at this point. They've persisted a flip is imminent for months, saying it's going to happen and it never happens. And really? Making this call literally just as he leaves the visit is odd timing. I don't care how Bowen feels hours after a visit. It's all about how he feels days after.

At this point, he's visited OU multiple times and stayed committed to ND. If they haven't been able to change your mind on any of those visits, it's not the place my dude. You made the right choice to start with and no amount of visits are going to change that reality.

Coming out hot against all the recruiting analysts.

Yeah this recruitment is over. He signs with Notre Dame on ESD.
After the Clemson game literally every writer on the beat said he is more solid then ever to Notre Dame. We heard it from 5 different sites. He then takes visit number whatever to Oklahoma and all the sudden they said something different that convinced him to flip? The same guys that have consistently made shit up all year and we believe them again for some reason?
Nah he is all Irish

ND is confident because he’s doing whatever the box checking is needed to EE at ND. There is nothing preventing him from doing the same at OU instantaneously.
Anyone who says he’d have flipped by now is missing how much it’s in OU’s best interests to have a shocking flip headline on NSD.

Parker from OU 247 says he’s not putting in a prediction for Bowen for a variety of reasons, but tells the board they can read between the lines. IMO, he’s given the OU staff the signal he’s flipping. I hope I’m wrong, but Loy isn’t giving out much confidence either basically saying ND still confident but always uneasy when he visits OU.

No. ND is confident because he's doing that and still committed and coming off an official where ND's defense wailed on a top 5 team.

Why would an unofficial to a school he's seen several times already suddenly change things?

I don’t think things have suddenly changed. As I’ve been saying, ND will have been dead wrong for months or dead right. I’d love for us to see that they’ve been right. I don’t expect it. Everything you’re saying has two sides to it, he’s had plenty of chances to flip. Yes sure. He’s also had plenty of chances to shut things down.

But if nothing's changed, why stay committed to ND if you're not sure about it?

Why not de-commit and take an OV to Oklahoma?

Seems like this would've been the perfect time to do so and that didn't happen.

While he didn't de-commit... He is still talking about making a decision.

Not saying he isn't Irish in the end. I'm just not sure we can put much stock in the fact that he hasn't decommitted.

Because “the talk” would be hard. See why Amorion Walker just never had it.

Who cares if it’s an OV? OU is short on OVs they’ll save any one they can get. They literally just flaunted raising millions during the game for NIL.

There is no reasoning here that’ll change things. Again ND is either dead right or dead wrong. Rooting for dead right.

Walker never had "the talk" with the staff in the first place. He led them on for months and intentionally waited until the absolute last second to announce his flip to everybody.

The way his family handled it was about as scummy as you can get.

That’s my point lol. Again dead right or dead wrong. If he flips we are going to place him with Walker. If he doesn’t, obviously not.

That's fair.

I would hope that Bowen is at least honest with the staff, unlike Walker and his family, who left the staff high and dry.

Well, besides hoping that Bowen just stays committed, which I believe he will.

I mean if he backs out now, he is leaving them high and dry.

If he flips who could we realistically get to take his place in the class? Or would it be trying to get another Brandon Joseph from the portal?
