I disagree with this. Dude just committed to a school he's never visited. Screams transferring in a year or two to me
If Oregon is bad and he thinks he can get as much or more from someone else, then for sure.

And fwiw, that was an eye roll emoji. Being realistic about the situation isn't copium, it's understanding what ND is and what it is not.

I wonder if Limar and Bowen were always pairing up on XBOX

I'd love to see some of our current recruits put Peyton on blast but then a part of me wants them to keep it classy. I bet Freeman is seething if he was seriously lied to by Bowen.

I’m sure Dan Lanning and Tosh Lupoi are at least okay coaches. But it’s so transparently clear that Oregon just hires coaches okay with cheating as a primary skill. Even Cristobal. Some coaches are just born and molded by that and are okay playing the game and others aren’t. Probably same reason Lanning took the job in the first place. You don’t want to hire outside the cheating game and then ask them too. Gotta hire someone who’s already in the circle.

I might catch some flack for this but…

Theses parents aren’t raising this kids and teenagers right. My kids are 12 and 9 and if they tell someone they are gonna commit 4h, sports or dance we make they hold up their word. I can’t believe a parent would allow their 17 or 18 year old to flat out be untruthful or lie to an adult like that.

Be a good parent and teach morals and don’t be a friend.

It all feels like he made this decision this morning, which I guess is fine. This has been a wild one for sure. Time to move on from it.

Literal last minute switch.

If you watch his video, his hands are trembling when he puts up the O.

It says a lot about his family that they raised a son who didn't have the courage to just tell the coaches he was taking the bag. It's hard to argue against taking $2 million to sign with a school, but it's easy to argue against raising a son that was comfortable lying about his intentions.

As a parent of a 16 year who I feel I raise the right way, my kid still acts like an idiot. Parenting is hard.

I'm so excited to watch Oregon now. They are dropping TAMU-level cash to buy classes at the last minute. I seriously can't wait to watch them hit the field.

And when the wheels come off, I'll be there with popcorn.
I don't watch football that late at night usually.

Oregon is a dead-end. No one watches them. Their "cool" factor wore out like a decade ago. Their conference is about to lose their biggest brand(s). But they do have money at least.

It also seems like the parents weren't on the same page, which doesn't make a hard job any easier.

The “sad” part about this with the way Dante and Peyton handled this is let’s pretend the beat is right and these are/were “good kids”. Basically they’ve entered a life changing phase and come out completely okay with lying to others and breaking their word etc.

Also guys... of the three 5-star misses due to NIL... Keon Keeley is by far the biggest. That kid is actually a GREAT fit for ND. Might be a little overrated as a prospect but he is exactly the kind of kid who fits well at ND and you need to sign.

Dante Moore was a huge bullet dodged.

Peyton Bowen we'll see... but there are a lot of things here that are red flags: lying to Oklahoma players, lying to friends at his HS, lying to his GF, lying to ND players and coaches, committing to a place he's never visited strictly for the $$, how he went about committing to that place, etc. He is nowhere close to Dante Moore level red flags, but there are a lot. Think he will be a great college player but we'll see.
All those flags indicate lack of character and integrity. That's not a fit for ND.

Your talent can take you places your character can't keep you. Guys just chasing a bag won't pan out.
