He improves it and then it leaves the next year, puts it back in the same original state.
Nope. Overall team speed has gotten better every single season. And you are dismissing the fact that he brought in players like Kris Mitchell and Jayden Harrison for this season - two of the faster guys on the team.

Junior Jabbie played well in a spring game. Lol.
They are planning a remake of Rudy with Bruce Heggie as the star...and the iconic chant, "Heggie...Heggie...Heggie" and the scene where all the players lay down their jerseys to let Rudy play..well in the remake only 1 player does...lol

So getting Dylan Edwards for one year will help this? Only one because kids with speed leave after a year or so you say.
Dylan Edwards is a SOPH, but we don't have a track record of bringing in transfers with "Elite" speed either, Harrison and Mitchell can both really run but wouldn't be considered "Elite". Who knows but I think its doubtful he would transfer a 2nd time.

Ok, whose spot were you going to give him? The same whiney drivel is posted every time someone leaves. I had high hopes for Bell. He didn't want to wait. The end.

The staff is aggressive in recruiting and the transfer portal. This is just the beginning.
That's an easy one, you take Bell over Tucker PERIOD!!

Bell didn’t want to stay. Tucker did. We can move on now.
Isn’t the word that Tucker pretty reliable in a backup role? We are kind of light on bodies there unless one or both of the freshman can give something early

Will always root for an ND guy to go play for Clark Lea if they’re not sticking in South Bend.

Playing for a good man, a great defensive coach, and a true developer of talent.

(Just a shame a place like that will really have to work hard to catch lightning in a bottle every few years… NIL/portal era makes it harder than ever to sustain an underdog program building towards a NY6 run.)

Yeah, Vandy is getting gutted. Lost Ray Davis last year to Kentucky, who was just drafted in the fourth round, and lost two of their top WRs this year… Sheppard to Colorado and Humphreys to Georgia.

It’s unfortunate but Vandy is essentially going to be a feeder school for the bigger programs.

This is probably the bottom third of every P4/5 conference soon.
They’ll get/develop some good players but won’t be able to keep them. They’ll rarely be competitive (and when they are their coach will be hired away). Their fans will gradually give up, and that’s what really damages the sport.

Happy to see an ex ND player play for an ex ND coach.

Anyone know how Prince Kollie did for Vandy last year?

He had an interview in one of the spring practices mentioning he was out with a concussion. Clark Lea mentioned him making improvements in terms of learning the defense and I believe he led the team in tackles in one of their scrimmages. Expect a good share of snaps this season.

Good to see the ND fans in the comments being classy and wishing him luck. Lots of other fan bases aren't so kind to transfers.

I genuinely don’t know what value a school like Vanderbilt provides the future SEC in a world where the power schools no longer need bottom feeders.

Nashville is the only actual city in the SEC footprint, I guess.
