Rebounding from Dante Moore and landing Kenny Minchey would be about as good as you could possibly ask for by Tommy. No notes - I like Kenny’s game a lot.

Tommy gets replaced (looking at body of work all season)
We get McNamara or better level transfer
Minchey early enrolls
Angeli steps up again in spring
Buchner becomes #1 again or #2 behind transfer
Pyne enters portal possibly before bowl game
We pick up bonus QB recruit or second transfer QB.

I like these for sure. I do think Pyne transfers if Tommy leaves.

Yeah, I had the same thought. This might be one where they look back in a few years and wonder how he wasn't ranked higher and the answer is simply that he got injured right when he was breaking out.

Just talked to Golden Tate, and let him know we may be getting a commit from his old High school……

He was clearly aware of Kenny because he responded with “ I thought he was committed to Pitt or something”.

Golden said he’s going to be reaching out to Kenny, to see what’s up ! Haha

It would feel pretty good, after the current bare-bones situation, if we went into spring practice with a QB room of:

Minchey
Angeli
RPIII (don't sleep on Ronnie!)
Buchner
Pyne
Grad Transfer w/substantial P5 starting experience.

And of course Carr coming in behind them.

And that's exactly what we should do.

From the film it looks like a lot of play-action/RPO roll-out and fling it. Nice arm. Can run enough to move the chains but he's not a running QB, if you know what I mean.

In this scenario I think Buchner transfers, unless he ends up beating out a Grad Transfer in the spring. I think Pyne is Irish till graduation at least, which may be this Spring if he graduates early? I don't know. No idea on Angeli.

He did last year I think saying that ND tampered trying to get Kenny Pickett to transfer in. Which is ironic considering it was such an open secret that Pickett wanted to go to ND that the announcers brought it up all the time in the 2020 game vs Pitt.

Haha, at one point today I logged in, saw it was 39 pages. So, I read to 12 and thought I’d get caught up on the rest in a bit. Opened it back up a little later and saw it was at 52. Read a few and thought, no chance I’m getting to this now. Came back one last time and saw it was at 72. Hell no. Ain’t reading that shit
