No, I’m not.
I’m just lucky enough to be retired in my 40’s & have many connections to athletes, including contacts at ND. I was a professional athlete for a period of time (not football), and military before that and have a lot of high level athletes come train with me (along with different agencies).
ND football is really the only team I’m a “fan” of & is because I’m originally from Indy & my first year watching ND was Lou Holtz’s in ‘86. ND football is my Vice.
A lot of guys train with me who hate ND (because they played at other schools) so it’s fun to talk a little trash with them. One of them was in the NFL for close to a decade & played against ND four times & just says “screw ND” when we trained. LOL
I used to talk to a lot of the ND site guys a lot, was friends with some of them, but not much anymore.

So if you are 317 you are central Indy.
You are welcome to come train with me anytime at one of our gyms in that area.
I live in Indy also! What branch did you serve.. Army here.

Do you happen to train at the Irsay YMCA?

They really are not shying away from pressuring or shooting and missing on social media. With the subliminal Carr stuff and now this. I can’t blame them and I’m glad they are not holding back. In terms of his response, I’m not so sure that was a positive. I’m guessing he’s waiting to see how we look against Ohio State, which to me doesn’t really tell the story of where the program is headed given the 2020 class and 2019 class were less than stellar or deep outside a few elite individuals. ND is, in terms of elite recruiting, still young.

As the old saying goes, you miss 100% of the shots you do not take.

I thought he was waiting until he could bring his mom to campus.
Very few kids base their decision on the outcome of any single game and if they do they’re going about this wrong.

Is this good or bad???
For sure it's a good thing. He is just saying he hasn't committed to ND yet but he is close, waiting for his visit with his mom he is taking before the Marshall game. It's the same story all the reporters have been saying recently, ND favorite but wants mom to see the school (during Marshall game) and give her stamp of approval before commiting

This is about the sixth or seventh time you’ve referred to a recruit using the result of one game as whether they’d choose ND or not, and I think you vastly over-estimate how much that impacts kids’ decisions. They’re not choosing based on a single game results, it just isn’t a thing

So you don’t think us winning that game could impact Keeley having second thoughts? Or push ‘24’s our way? I disagree. Maybe it doesn’t matter for Love, but it matters a lot for recruiting. It’s a huge game and winning it could have impacts that would last for years. Not only would it establish that Marcus Freeman is an elite coach, it would tell the entire Midwest the Notre Dame is it.

Assuming we get Limar, Edwards, and Love what is each position going to be? Limar seems like the only true RB from different articles.

I have read that and understand that. But his tweet to me didn’t sound the most positive.

It's just a bit of banter between Chad and Jeremiyah, he's keeping the "suspense" going but already knows where he's going to end up.

Recruits know they could be the difference between winning and losing a game like this in the next few yrs regardless of how it turns out. I think they see this class ranking more than anything else when they're looking to make a prediction about how good ND will be as a program. They'll look at performance this season to some extent too, probably their individual position's performance as much as the team's. But they know not to put so much stock in one game that it will alter their entire decision, Keeley might be an exception but I honestly think NIL is a bigger factor with him than anything else. Otherwise he would've committed to Bama already.

One game? No it doesn’t. The results over a whole season and seasons? Absolutely, you can tell how they’re trending. If there is a kid out there who makes their decision based solely on the result of one game, I’d bet money they are not going to have success at ND
