the post draft reviews by NFL beat is not keen on this pick at all.
They dont doubt Love's talents but they dont think he will get any sort of a quality running game up front for a least two years and then a servicable passing game for 3 years minimum. He will be 3/4 way through his contract then. I tend to agree.

It makes sense with the rookie pay scale. The value for RBs isn’t there relative to current contracts, when compared to the high-cost positions like QB/DE/CB where getting a productive player on the rookie scale can be very valuable.

They've got LT through Center covered and just drafted Bisontis in the 2nd to play RG. RT is still an issue but this isn't the Giants drafting Saquon 2nd overall with a bottom 3 OL during the 2018 draft lol. My understanding from Cards fans is they were interested in David Bailey, but with him off the board Love was by far their highest graded player. Why is taking a highly touted RB so much worse than a ton of guys with huge question marks that might not ever be league average at their position?

Wasn't even thinking about defensive players. But yeah X is in the conversation there. Still think Love has him beat by a pretty wide margin though.
X dominated USC in 2023. Single-handedly took Caleb Williams Heisman away then snatched their collective hearts and returned it to them for 6 points! Love 4, but I disagree here!

Aside from the general difficulty of any player winning the Heisman two years in a row, Williams hadn't been playing as well in 2023 as he did in 2022. He didn't even finish in the top 10 of Heisman voting in 2023, so I disagree that X took his Heisman away. X's stat line of 7 tackles, 2 INT, and 1 FR for a TD is incredible. But I'll take Love's 24 carries for 228 yards and 1 TD (plus 5 receptions for 37 yards).

X doing that to Williams specifically was great. Love did what he did to the whole defense.

Speaking of all-time performances vs USC, we gotta shout out Tuitt in 2013 completing destroying the Trojans in the 2nd half. Tommy Rees was knocked out that entire half I think and Tuitt said he wasn't losing to USC

That clip gives me so much joy and laughter especially with those cunts backing out of playing ND. He just clowns on them for over a minute. Fuck USC.
That is way too aggressive. I want Amon-Ra SB as much as anyone but he wanted the USC life. Tbf to the St. Brown family, their time with ND was tainted by Kelly and rather poor QB play for a stretch.

J. Love made the right decision and ever since he got drafted he continues give ND Love back.

I would've been nice to see EQ show ND some Love.
