So now, after his draft slot and his upcoming ridiculous salary, what is the standard that would make Love a boom or a bust just in regards to draft position?

Unless he goes absolutely nuclear he is going to have to be Saquan/McCaffrey levels of productive pretty quick to even be considered value at that slot. For comparison Will Anderson went #3 a few years ago and just signed a $150 million dollar extension for three years. There is no universe in which Love can produce enough to get even close to that contract or added value for that draft slot when people will assume you can draft some donkey from Toledo in the 4th and get close enough production. Soooo the bust possibilities for the analytics nerds are high to quite high.

But also....fuck em, they didn't make absolute cinema against Penn State in the playoffs. So we got that goin for us, which is nice.

Several analysts I heard basically said he's a generalization talent and you have to take him regardless of needs.

Agree & happy for him but hoping he doesn’t get destroyed behind a shitty OL &/or an offense w/ no passing game. To be clear, I don’t follow NFL enough to know how good/bad AZ is on offense but they seem like the Colorado Rockies of the NFL

It’s definitely not the smartest money ball type approach but I also think people are overblowing it.

You know what? So is Travis Etienne, James Cook and Josh Jacobs. That’s how the market works. The newest deals keep going higher and higher. Gibbs and Taylor are up for new deals most likely soon, they will reset the market and likely exceed Love, then people will stop bitching a little bit.

High floor for on field potential and low risk of off field BS
For a team that has not really had a good face to the public since Kurt Warner turned over to Fitz, this is good for the Cards.

They are a baaaaaaaddddd OL. I hate the NFL but live in AZ and hear all about them... But now i am a fan and will go to some games.
