the post draft reviews by NFL beat is not keen on this pick at all.
They dont doubt Love's talents but they dont think he will get any sort of a quality running game up front for a least two years and then a servicable passing game for 3 years minimum. He will be 3/4 way through his contract then. I tend to agree.

It makes sense with the rookie pay scale. The value for RBs isn’t there relative to current contracts, when compared to the high-cost positions like QB/DE/CB where getting a productive player on the rookie scale can be very valuable.

They've got LT through Center covered and just drafted Bisontis in the 2nd to play RG. RT is still an issue but this isn't the Giants drafting Saquon 2nd overall with a bottom 3 OL during the 2018 draft lol. My understanding from Cards fans is they were interested in David Bailey, but with him off the board Love was by far their highest graded player. Why is taking a highly touted RB so much worse than a ton of guys with huge question marks that might not ever be league average at their position?
