Why would Carr scare Moore? When every school he’s looking at took a high ranked kid in last years class?

I don’t think it’s a matter of being scared, but it could be a matter of perception. Moore seems to want to be the guy, and another QB committing before him undermines that mojo a bit.
Then he should have committed a month ago.

I've had no beef with Moore, or how the staff played his recruitment. And maybe he still winds up at Notre Dame, which would be great. But the kid does seem to have overplayed his hand a bit here. And Rashada maybe heading to A&M? I just hope for Dante's sake he doesn't land with BK.

Man it’s almost like it was insane to drop other supremely talented QBs with interest and focus everything on one player when you really need to get a QB in this apparently stacked class.

Loy really pushing his chips into the “they won’t be recruiting Moore after Carr commits”.

He’s had two lengthy posts stating as much. He says he doesn’t agree with it but that’s the likely decision as of now.

That has to mean two things
1) reclassification is a real possibility
2) sick of being played by the Moore’s/not sure we still lead or could land him with maybe what he needs $$$

It makes perfect sense if Carr reclassifies. Not as clear if he doesn't.

It’s surprising to me that a 2024 commit would seem to be the inflection point.

If so, I would guess they are either unhappy with Moore and wanted some cover for the fans before they moved on… OR the 2024 really might become the 2023. It sounds like James is going to pull off reclassifying which at least means it’s theoretically possible.

Imagine being Michigan now with all the CBs rollin in for Carr thinking they actually have a shot at Moore…

Like a few others have shared, I prefer a ‘23 Carr with a ‘24 Sayin.

Moore, whatever. Didn't he really grow up in Ohio and fairly recently moved to Detroit anyway? But no I don't really understand why Lloyd Carr's grandson who lives just outside Ann Arbor would hate UM, unless it's about Harbaugh, which is the sort of thing that can be ironed out.
I highly doubt he hates UM. The kids don’t share the sentiment that adult fans do. Hell, I’ve seen ND players wearing other teams T-shirts and hats. Kids like gear. He must’ve felt a bond with Rees, MF and the school. Not hard to imagine. ND is quaint and has a good small school vibe. Clearly a lot of people dig it. Honestly, UofM might bore him. He lived in Ann Arbor his entire life. I could see wanting to escape that shadow. It’s not like ND is a lesser program. If anything it’s a smidge above academically and in football brand. Say the word Michigan to yourself. Now say the words Notre Dame. Which one feels just a tiny bit higher? It doesn’t hurt that there’s a vast emptiness of elite QB recruiting to accompany the elite recruiting classes. I said it for months. Unbiased, if I was the #1 QB, I’d have to take a seriously strong look at ND just based on early PT and the elite recruiting. It’s like a Ferrari sitting there in need of a driver, while everyone’s trying to pile into the Lambo.

The allure of being the QB who brings ND back to the promised land has to be one of the biggest pitches.

The NIL money/draft status for that accomplishment would be staggering.

Is it possible its not a whose the 22 qb or the 24 qb and Moore just has some personal dislike for Carr?

There’s something he’s seeking. He has 0 connection to Texas. The draw is simply NIL, if you can really call what Jimbo is doing NIL. His quote about wanting to see how A&M signed the best class right around the time Saban told the media that Jimbo bought every recruit was the minute I knew Dante was gone. It was almost like he was baiting A&M. When Saban and Kiffin think you’re a scumbag, you must be real lousy. You don’t visit A&M unless you live nearby or you’re seeking $$. Period.

Who says a James reclassification is likely? I thought that was probably not gonna work.

Everything I've read from "insiders" on paid boards say that isn't the case. But God only knows at this point. Maybe Carr peed in Moores cornflakes.

This will be an interesting one to someday get significant background on. Although still not 100% on what davonte did so I won’t hold my breath
