Hypothetical

Assume that YOU are Dante Moore.

Nd, somehow is off the table.

Your two options are Michigan and Michigan State. Which would you choose and why?

Did you guys not know I was Mike Stonebreaker? I thought "greyhammer" was an obvious allusion.

Ok, I had to have some fun with that since I’ve haven’t been confused for a former ND QB before.

Nothing to see here folks. If it wasn’t obvious before, I am not Malik Zaire.
Well in Fairness I didn't know it was a former QB. Just thought it was a Driskell cronie or the like. Or perhaps you joined a podcast or something. I don't do subs or pods so just trying to keep up with references.

Michigan.

Much as we love to loathe them, they do have a far higher ceiling than Michigan State, and fwiw a bigger brand to leverage with NIL. He seems to care more about the QB coach than Gattis as OC. And if Harbaugh eventually leaves and the staff blows up you can always transfer if you want.

There’s really no reason for Moore to pick Sparty here, even if, ironically, they’re usually the better team and have a better track record of putting QBs into the league in this kid’s lifetime than Michigan.

Thanks for responding. I would pick MSU. Everything you said is correct. However, harbaugh seems to be teetering, one way or the other.

It would be more likely, in Dante Moore's senior year in college that
Mel Tucker will still be coaching Sparty.
and Harbaugh will have moved on.

but its all just spitballing.

Wasn’t Malik’s dad part of IE for awhile?

I'm guessing Dante isn't taking his senior year into consideration on his college decision and current environment will allow him to transfer wherever he needs by that point as well.

I think you're probably right about Tucker and Harbaugh I just don't think that's such a big factor for a guy like Moore at this moment in time. Michigan's a bigger stage and a kid with his potential will be drawn to the lights. For us the question is whether Notre Dame's lights are brighter.

It's iffy he's around his freshman year. If he has a good season he's back hunting for an NFL job. If they have another uninspiring season they're back where they were a year ago thinking about firing him.

I got excited seeing all of the activity since I last logged in yesterday, was curious what the scoop was on Donte.

What a hilarious waste of my time, but got a few much needed laughs lol

Not sure if this is widely already known but Moore is from Cleveland haha. Now it’s been awhile (old article says moved when Braxton Miller was at OSU) but still, something to keep in mind.

Is that OSU territory or ND?

Although Lucky Lefty is saying it is a MSU VS ND battle, I continue to say that OSU was his dream school growing up.

I've never seen the websites mention tOSU as a real contender. Mentioned most often: ND, MSU, Harbaugh U, and now Miami as a legit contender. I get the feeling that they want to say ND really does lead, but that it's too early to go there yet.

Depends. If he was at a Catholic school in Cleveland it may have a ND edge. But based on previous track records MSU and UM have been heavy in the Cleveland Catholics.

It's actually bizarre how no one will say it but they all kind of imply it. The UM writer was responding to a bunch of questions, saying who was in it, where Michigan was at, saying Michigan does not lead. Then someone was like so ND leads then? Radio silence lol.

Then Rivals puts out a story on Moore today FACT or FICTION: Moore leaving the state?
No mention of ND at all. UM, MSU, and Miami.

1) OSU (Grew up the favorite but osu prefers a)Nico b) Lonergan c)Dante...)

2) ND (Great relationship with Coach Rees)
3) MSU (Great relationship with Coach Tucker)
4) Michigan

I think he's way more likely to leave for an NFL OC job next year than he is for a college HC job. And with early signing day, that would have Moore signed already.🤷‍♂️
