Hanafin's excellent on-field context and his 6-foot-3 frame that already carries 200-plus pounds make him one of the more intriguing prospects on the rise in the 2023 cycle. The Cambridge (Mass.) Buckingham Browne & Nichols prospect has made big play after big play in all three phases of the game thanks to his short-area suddenness, obvious top-end gear, and instinctive, aware style of play. Hanafin, who also plays lacrosse, has impressed at multiple Power Five camps in the past year.

Hanafin moves up from a high three-star 87 to a four-star 90 on 247Sports, and while he remains listed at athlete, linebacker may be his highest-ceiling position fit relative to his overall athletic profile and what we have seen in recent NFL Drafts.

Speaking from personal experience the Christian schtick doesn't usually fly with kids who go to school in Cambridge, Mass., but Ronan does prominently display a cross necklace in some of his recruiting glam shots so who the hell knows anymore.

Dabo is Christian. Irish Catholic Brian Kelly is also Christian. No idea what religion Marcus Freeman is but I'd guess he's Christian too. Some people make more of that fact than others, and some people respond to that differently than others. I guess we'll see what Ronin Hanafin makes of it as it relates to his decision on where to go to college.
