I haven't seen anything definitive. There is this quote that he gave after his ND OV that made it seem like they're pitch is to not put him at just one position but to be able to move him around.

They showed me how I could really play any of the linebacker positions because, of course, I'm going to gain weight but I'm also going to keep my speed where they can put me at rover, mike, will. They could put me in all types of packages. And they said they really want me to be like a three, four-down linebacker. They said I would really fit in that system.

IMO, in Lea's old 4-2-5, I would've said Will. But, in Freeman's 3-3-5, Rover/Sam. Though that defender came off the field quite a bit at Cincy so maybe that's why they pitch him the position versatility. Early down Rover/Sam and Nickel/Dime he's a Will/Mike. I'm still unsure exactly what we'll see from Golden. Very much looking forward to Fall Camp.

In all seriousness, I agree with the sentiment. I'm a recruit the athletes and figure it out later. Which is one reason why I'd really like to see us get after some length at DB with a spot or two.

Then Singer says “there is a feeling he could push up his timeline.”
The feeling he is talking about is not On3’s, it’s other sites.
Singer and On3 have not pushed Ausberry moving up his timeline. Other sites have.
He clearly says in his article today, that Ausberry told reporters, who would be On3, that he will decide near NSD, which is in December.

What would he be waiting for? Looks on 247 like he's already OV'd to Michigan, Auburn and A&M, as well as Notre Dame. Clearly he knows the deal at LSU. All the smoke is us. Why wait?

By saying other sites, I’m talking the reporters/analysts/whatever we are calling them…saying it will be before December.
