It will be interesting to see how greathouse and Rico develop. I'm not sure you can have a dynamic offense that we want with both getting a large share of WR snaps. They seem very similar. Mature for their age physically and mentally, good hands, good knowledge, hard working, but not much length or speed. I feel like greathouse has a little more potential but his injury obviously hurt him, and both of them having to play outside when they belong at the slot position isn't ideal.

I think they'll be 2 good/solid wrs that are very reliable.

Ya know, you have a lot of bizarre takes that I disagree with but this passive aggressive behavior where you are trying to start disagreements is the thing that really pushes people over the top. You used to do this all the time in your former IE life and it's what made so many people angry. Just stop it.
I'm not starting a disagreement, I'm following up on a conversation that lasted several threads and pages because people panicked when PutUp accurately explained that Rico isn't a field WR and can't separate well.

I will post what/how I feel like, thank you for your concern.

Feels like a Chip Long offense where big/strong WRs are at a premium for blocking purposes. Not sure if by design or just by taking who was interested. This works but have to get some burners too.

I don't completely agree with Pops because there have been some solid WR recruits that lived up to the hype under Kelly, but I get what he is saying. Flores is going to come in ready to contribute right away. Very polished and great route runner and physically ready. Of James, Greathouse, Hanafin, and Flores, I'd bet Flores has the best freshman year, but one of the others gets drafted higher.

In a sea of crap hot takes by myself, this one is looking pretty good from June, though if Greathouse had a more reliable hamstring probably would have been incorrect. This is why we volume shoot our takes.

Agree. I knew Rico wasn't a burner, but i'm a little shocked that he's actually slow. Thought he had descent speed in HS film.

The 2024 WR class is what you really want every class to be like (easier said than done)

Cam - All around Stud
Gilbert - Size/Strength, good ball skills and solid athleticism
Saldate - Good WR good speed

Only thing really missing is that overall absolutely high end speed and or shiftiness.

Needs to develop a little more explosiveness. Doable in a college S&C program

IMO he just needs other speed WRs around him. If he never gets faster he will be a factor for 4 years, but he's going to excel if we have 2 WRs around him the safeties have to worry about.

Him and Greathouse may end up being beasts after the catch which is a big deal. Corners that enjoy tackling are unicorns.

We really needed to see something from one or two of the young WR’s so we weren’t left running on hope the entire off-season. I think we’ve seen enough to cautiously optimistic about the group come next season.

Flores made that happen today.
I’d take this core+2 transfers with experience

Flores, Greathouse, and Fasion should be a great start. I think Thomas and Colzie if he comes back will be good when healthy. I haven’t given up on Merriweather yet either

After Flores got his early season jitters out, I've been very favorably impressed. I think that Sam has been too, as after Evans, Flores was about the only guy he trusted. Now it looks like we have Faison (a miracle) and Greathouse back, and now another TE (Raridon) to catch it.

I'll think again about Merriweather if he ever catches another one.

He’s a good 3rd option ideally. He had a good freshman season. Let’s not act like he’s irreplaceable if he were to leave.

None of the WRs are “irreplaceable” but if you have to replace four of them it’s a problem. (FTR I doubt Rico’s going anywhere but we shrug off personnel losses too easily around here sometimes, while catastrophizing about them at other times)

I’m not saying he is leaving.
Just saying that something is going to happen with somebody.
Very rarely does a position coach leave & nothing happens.
Well he was only tenured one year, so maybe that will mitigate the losses. The three commits being solid boosts my confidence overall
