We really needed to see something from one or two of the young WR’s so we weren’t left running on hope the entire off-season. I think we’ve seen enough to cautiously optimistic about the group come next season.

Flores made that happen today.
I’d take this core+2 transfers with experience

Flores, Greathouse, and Fasion should be a great start. I think Thomas and Colzie if he comes back will be good when healthy. I haven’t given up on Merriweather yet either

After Flores got his early season jitters out, I've been very favorably impressed. I think that Sam has been too, as after Evans, Flores was about the only guy he trusted. Now it looks like we have Faison (a miracle) and Greathouse back, and now another TE (Raridon) to catch it.

I'll think again about Merriweather if he ever catches another one.

He’s a good 3rd option ideally. He had a good freshman season. Let’s not act like he’s irreplaceable if he were to leave.

None of the WRs are “irreplaceable” but if you have to replace four of them it’s a problem. (FTR I doubt Rico’s going anywhere but we shrug off personnel losses too easily around here sometimes, while catastrophizing about them at other times)

I’m not saying he is leaving.
Just saying that something is going to happen with somebody.
Very rarely does a position coach leave & nothing happens.
Well he was only tenured one year, so maybe that will mitigate the losses. The three commits being solid boosts my confidence overall

Who is hating on him? Well outside of Ding who everyone knows has bad takes
I love Rico but have a brain and eye balls, and realize he's not a field WR but was forced to play outside, and separating isn't his strength. He's not fast and he's not Fiason-quick.

He's awesome, I'm glad he's here and I (again) invite to bring up a single post I've missed on (you won't).

Kindly stop with these out of no where drive bys unless you want to have an intellectual debate on a topic for all to see (you don't).

I'd expect a couple to transfer, including Tyree. We're talking about the position group that is MOST likely to transfer, so transfers were likely anyway.

It'd be a hit if Greathouse, Flores or Faison and to a lesser extent, James or Smith follow Stuckey to his next job.

I tend to doubt the three freshmen contributors leave since they're playing + the relationship with Freeman/coaches + the degree.

Will be interesting to see how quickly a replacement is hired.

I hate to disagree, but when you wide receiver room was left with jack shit from prior recruiting cycles, any able body is important as we all saw this year with injuries. We all know how the transfer from VA. Tech worked out this year. Would be a big blow if he decided to transfer in my opinion.

If firing Stuckey is at least partly about preventing losses in the portal, we’ll want to move fast to replace him.
The uncertainty of who’ll be your position coach - not to mention also at QB and to a lesser extent OC - could also prompt some to look for the exits.

I don’t hate Rico. I was sticking up for him with the “he’s too slow…” trash that was going around. I just don’t ever see him being “elite.” He was a freshman put into a tough situation. I hope he balls out next year

the way Rico, Jaden, KK, and Braylen James is always going to be different than the vets, they committed to ND because of Stuckey to some degree
