I came to find out why the Merriweather thread is at the top. Scrolled through the entire last page. Couldn’t figure it out.
Everything regarding merriweather is fine, this thread went off the rails but it is quite entertaining if you go back to page 15 or so and read on. Promise you won't be disappointed lol

After sitting all day in tact gear waiting for a protest, I’m laughing my ass off at what has happened to this thread.

Yeah, In Atlanta yesterday the state decided it was going to drop charges against two Atlanta police officer who were involved in a shooting that killed a black man two weeks after George Floyd was killed. The powers that be were worried that due to this discussion civil arrest and riots could happen again.

I remember that play but didn’t realize it was Merriweather who got Pyne out of sync b/c he had to motion him to come across. That’s the snap that Pyne mishandled and had to scramble for a loss that likely got recorded as a sack.

But when the receivers, not named Styles, have 8 combined catches in 3 games, he needs to play.

They fuckin stink.

Also where is Colzie?
Might be an unpopular opinion, but I think he's Deion Walker 2.0. Someone who played against weak competition in HS and couldn't adjust to the level of competition at ND. Maybe there's a reason why UGA didn't push for him.

Looked like a zone read to me

Hard to tell if it was a zone read (in which case he was missing his lead blocker with Merriweather not going in motion) or if it was supposed to be a handoff to the motion man with a fake to the RB to hold the LB from scraping the edge (in which case he ran to where the play was supposed to go).

More times than not, when a talented freshman WR isn't playing over mediocre upperclassmen, it's because the freshmen can be a liability on route running and generally knowing the offense.

Most of these guys could get away with "go run down the field and we'll throw it to you" in HS, they don't always come to campus ready to roll.

Even with good HS comp, he would’ve made plays as he’s fast and nearly 6’5”, but this isn’t HS and he’s looked stiff and unnatural as a receiever
