Or maybe he had a really toxic coach who wouldn't even acknowledge your presence in the room if he was mad at you?

Does that make P5 WRs drop balls that hit them in the hands?

edit: and just to be clear, it's ok if he gets a fresh start elsewhere. Stuckey apparently was a prick to the WR's and played favorites.

But there also has to be a level of competitive desire from the player that didn't exist with Tobias. I do not wish him any ill will. He has every chance to excel at a place like Cal.

Idk if you've played a sport before but my track college coach was very toxic. It affected my performance and I eventually left the team. It was a complete 180 from my experience in high school.

It's statements like these that are the poster child for

"Tell me you never played high level sports w/o telling me you never played high level sports"

TM always had the talent, it's the hands, consistency and showing up when it matters parts where he fell short.
By showing up, I'm inferring you meant effort and desire, right? Kid had some of the worst body language from my view.

Hope some maturity helps him reach that potential, but I wouldn't bet on it.

One has to wish the best for him I suppose but it’s probably going to be a bad look if he leaves and suddenly starts doing really well.

No one will notice because who watches Cal games anyway?

Who was the last person who left the program and actually did very well?
None but a few that did decent that at times we coulda used. If quinn carroll is playin a 7th year for the rowboats..coulda used him at tackle. Moala preseason in nfl could have helped. The d lineman on duke’s team last year could have helped. Jalen Guyton ended up in the nfl. A sold 5-10 in thr Kelly years some of which maybe could have been kept but weren’t that in hindsight could have helped.
