Very happy for this guy. He's been one of my favorites from the start. He's a great fit for Seattle's offense.

It’s a pretty awful RB class, I think if it’s not Seattle anyone who needs a true RB1 or RB 1B type back will feel the pressure early R2 to draft Price.

Mike Washington is a boom/bust I don’t think you take if you’re counting on essential snaps. The only other guy IMO would be Jonah Coleman to take and actually count on. Otherwise let it slide and take a Day 3 guy.
Nailed it, @Dale !

I have the #4 pick in my dynasty draft, and I desperately need RB help. With Price going to a good organization, it will make it easier to reach for him and draft him at 4.

I was at a high school track meet yesterday and one of my good friends insisted Price was gonna go to the Seahawks with the last pick in the first round. The whole night I was just thinking how much that made sense and how awesome it would be for Notre Dame if it happened, and it happened!!

They were the first two picked. Believe that's the first time ever the top two backs came from the same school.
Its impressive and a fun fact - but Auburn having Ronnie Brown and Cadillac Williams both going top 5 is bananas. McFadden and Jones from Arkansas is a similar thing to what Love/Price just did.

Very crazy to pull it off in 2026 with how football has changed

Price is gonna be Freeman’s “Choose Hard” poster child
Absolutely. I’m sure this has been brought up before, but Price should really be a “Notre Dame Man” as well. Many reasons, but primarily for what @Dale said. He could have been RB1 basically anywhere, but he chose hard. That’s what we want an ND Man to be.

What's crazier to me was that while they both went top 5, they didn't go 1-2. Different times, different drafting priorities.

And don’t forget the 3rd RB of that group, Peyton Hillis; went in the 7th round. He’d end up being traded to the Browns for Brady Quinn and had one monster season that earned him the cover of Madden before fading away.

We were blessed to have two amazing running backs on the team. Dang shame the committee put Bama over us. Well done young man!
I stopped at Lowes this morning to get some rock. The two young guys helping me asked if I was a Notre Dame fan. After replying with an affirmative, one of them said that should have been ND playing IU in the NCG. They got screwed. It's still fresh in some peoples minds.

If we were in the playoffs, IU wouldn't have been in the NCG, assuming we would have had Bama's spot. Rematch against the 'caines in the final

🚨 NOTRE DAME MAN ALERT 🚨

“Price on why he stayed at Notre Dame for 4 years and why he never left, via Seattle Sports:

"Because Notre Dame was the best decision of my life, I wanted to finish my degree, compete for a championship, and prove to myself that I was the best running back and player in college football. I wanted to challenge myself and look at where I am right now."

On the NIL and the difficult discussions to move on:

"Yeah, after the national championship. You get multiple calls. I'm from Texas, coming back home. Like I could come back home closer to family. North Carolina with [Bill] Belichick, multiple others. When my mom heard the offers that they were giving me upfront, she just came to tears, "Is this really real?" I felt some type of way when I had to tell her that I have a plan, I want to stay at Notre Dame, even though I made half that life-changing money. I feel that plan is working."
