Want Steve to do well but not good enough to have big regrets. Fee departures in ND history have become big regrets except for those that left. Hope he does better than Andrew Hendrix or Zach Frasier but not better than CJ. Was he making any NIL dough here and will he get any where he’s going? Being at ND has been good for his career development and recognition. I don’t think he would be in a better place right now if he had gone somewhere else. He is getting a degree that costs mere mortals $300k plus so not bad plus a bunch of great memories for him and for us.

If he doesn’t get a team with a decent OLine and running game he was have many ints and even more sacks. I’d be fine playing against him as out D would rack up sacks, fumbles and ints against him. Don’t want to destroy his confidence but he would be low on the fear factor level as an opposing QB.

Good luck to him. He definitely would have given us a win if brought in for the second half against NIU.

ND is not winning a national championship with Angeli at starting QB. And that may be the case with all of the QBs on the roster, time will tell. But we know that for certain with Angeli. Elite back up, and selfishly wish we could keep him, but this is probably best for both parties. As fans we should be fine with this news.

Been looking forward to Carr since Spring of last year, but wanted to say best of luck to Steve and thanks for all the times you stepped up.

Very first play of this video, we got shorted at least a yard, maybe a yard and half on the spot based on where the ball was while Williams tip-toed up the sideline.

This was a consistent issue in both the PSU and Georgia games... terrible spots at an absurd rate, cheating ND out of a yard here, two yards there. That shit adds up!

I'm mad all over again.

School's I've been seeing early on are Tennessee (obvious), Purdue, Minnesota, Tulane. I'd personally agree with others regarding Syracuse as a dark horse, along with Duke.

Man if I were him I would steer as far from Purdue as possible this year.
I agree, I've just seen them listed. Then again, if the money is right who knows. Tennessee seems like the obvious choice, even if it's not the best fit schematically. High profile program, recent success with a playoff berth, etc.

these are logical options but you gotta think some bigger teams will be in panic mode after spring ball and throw a bag at him.

The best schools besides Tennessee I could see biting at Angeli are Maryland and Minnesota. Both seem to want freshman/underclassmen to win their jobs but could see a haven in Angeli. I don’t see a Top 35ish team that would need Angeli besides the Vols.

I agree with the couple of posters who mentioned Minnesota would be a good fit.

Just manage the game and run the ball with that big OL with some RPOs and called shots. He would be do well there and not be asked to do too much.

Agreed, he reminds me of Max Brosmer who was their QB last year who played well!

Wouldn't shock me if Tennessee pulls a starter from another program which may open up another landing spot for Angeli.

This is probably his best bet. That Tennessee takes one of the Big 12 teams QBs and leaves that desperate and flat footed

They have a few options in the 12 - Avery Johnson, kid from Baylor, leavitt and maybe becht. Leavitt, I'm sure, has been offered piles of money to leave and he's still there. No idea how those rosters look this upcoming season but could be good options for Angeli.

Angeli doing a Brock Purdy impression would be perfect

Did Iowa even play with a QB last year? Seems like Steve would be an upgrade.

Sullivan was passable at QB and now they have Gronowski from South Dakota State

Jack Lausch was talking to my buddy in O'Hare before the Orange Bowl and predicted Penn State to beat us. I hope Steve takes his job.
