The strategy confuses me though. At other positions, you scream out for the Fluerima's and Ziegler's to get their offers. But ND hasn't taken multiple QBs since the 2010 class when they did so out of a depth chart necessity. Why offer him and Wimsatt today? Assuming they are prepared to accept Angeli's commitment, they had to know he would be a possibility to pop, while Wimsatt still has a ways to go in his recruitment. Not saying Angeli is going to pop immediately, but you wouldn't bet against it. Sounds like an ND fan.

I was thinking this may be a trickle down effect from Ewers committing to Texas. Wondering if ND thought they couldn't wait any longer and they'd lose Angeli to OSU if they turned up the heat following that commitment.

This is ridiculous. Clearly he'll beat out a struggling Buchner but show limitations afterwards and be a key reason for a loss in the biggest game of the year.

I wouldn’t say lukewarm. I mentioned that I like him a lot as a prospect. I’d just prefer Wimsatt cause I think he’s better. Now’s not the time to open up the board at the QB position. It’s going after the best of the best this early on in the cycle. I think Wimsatt could be absolutely elite and I think Angeli could be great. I’m just saying I’d rather go after the 4.5* QB over the 4* QB right now. Both would be good pickups. Angeli’s offer list is top notch for a 2022
