I think you need to take a breath. But what do i know?

I think adults judging high-school kid's moral value
is wild. But maybe you've been in his position and have been an elite athlete.

Maybe you have been in the same neighborhood and family structure as him... Perhaps you know what its like.

I for one think its best to let a kid get out of high-school before you start... how is it said? Cast stones.

But... yeah. Keep on that.

I have a feeling if you were under half the powered microscope he was, lots of weird shit would come out... and you're not even good at football... nor been invited to Notre Dame.

But keep at it. I'm sure it feels good.

lol. I want to make sure I have this right:

Since most of us have never been elite athletes, we shouldn't make a determination of someone's character? What sort of bullshit-all-is-relative-no-one-can-judge mindfuck world do you live in? Is this really how you operate in daily life? Being inconsistent to avoid consistency issues doesn't make you moral.

Yeah, another poster got butthurt I called Walker immature and that he lacked integrity, but he is immature & lacked integrity…he literally told reporters and the ND staff the day before he was signing with ND & the Michigan talk was BS. And acting like 17-18 year olds can’t simply be honest is what’s wrong with society today. Posters calling 17-18 year olds kids & saying we are too hard on them are acting like was are asking them to do some crazy grown ups stuff, when all we are asking them to do is DON’T LIE.
Seriously, they aren’t old enough to tell the truth? Freaking 12 year olds are mature enough to tell the truth. If he decommitted, like Moore or Williams, fine. But straight lying to ND’s staffs’ faces hours before signing is 4 year old stuff. Like when your kid has chocolate all over his face & tells you straight up you are crazy, they didn’t eat chocolate. Walker took a visit to Michigan & asked Michigan reporters not to report it, lied to ND about being sick, then when they caught him in his lie he flat out lied to them again. Then DID IT AGAIN (lied to the staff) when he went to Michigan instead of ND a weekend he was supposed to visit. Then according to Prister, the parents joined in & lied to ND the day before too.
Immature. No integrity. Untrustworthy. Period.

If he in fact did all this AND ND was still thinking he was a commitment then they need to have their heads examined.

This post pretty much encapsulates why I don’t think Walker (or Williams for that matter) should have had a spot saved for them when they started on their bullshit. Should have at minimum been shaking the tree hard for 1-2 other players instead of turning away interested prospects.

Walker has a ton of upside so I get the offer, but he’s a Louisiana kid Michigan people were 100% sure was going to flip. It was clear as day that he had to be lying to *someone* and you can’t just assume it isn’t you.

Williams is going to be a 20 year old freshman whose best trait is “route running” and was giving public pro-USC statements months before flipping. From Mater Dei. I mean, come on….

It’s coaching malpractice to be this clueless that you’re recruiting flaky or low character guys. Neither one was likely to stick even if they signed with ND… would’ve bolted the first time something didn’t go their way.

I said the same thing about Walker the fact that his parents allowed him to do that was dead wrong and immature

I really don't give a shit about the moral compasses of the high school kids on my own block let alone guys who play football in other zip codes.

Notre Dame has kept on playing football without every little must have twat the internet assistant coaches so desperately needed them to have. I assume this trend is going to continue.

This is where your recruiter needs to be a top notch salesman and I'm not talking about ABC. A good salesman knows when a customer is not really interested or is stringing you along and has no problem putting you on the back burner and moving on to the next prospect. Either Del can't recognize this or does and hopes the prospect will have a change of heart. Neither of those is a good thing.

Handling the recruitment of Walker and Williams the way Del and Tommy handled it is evidence that they're either incompetent or suckers and I'm honestly not sure which one is worse. They could have called anyone with even a passing familiarity of those two players' recruitment, asked if they thought they were going to bolt and gotten the same response of "of course they are - how are you even asking me this question?"

First off, how do we know that ND considered them commits/solid during the times they were taking visits? It’s not like the rankings and commit lists are run by anyone on the ND staff. That’s all independent companies. Maybe at some point they viewed them as prospects but continued to recruit them accordingly.

Secondly, I thought it was reported that they did try to expand the board early in the fall but they weren’t able to make any headway.

Apparently he has sucked at the AA practice. Has shown good athleticism and size (duh) but is not crisp and can’t catch anything contested. Basically sounds like he will need to be taught to play the WR position but is high upside like we all knew.

I almost posted this yesterday. Watch the 1v1 videos, i saw 4 reps and 2 of them went right through his hands and him in the facemask. Its like dude im 41 yrs old and havent played sports in years but I could show out better than that.

Uh, he has both. He doesn’t have to be a pass catcher at safety, and that is his reported deficit.

I hadn’t noticed that Walker changed his 1st name. When did this occur? Possible NIL deal?

If I were a recruit and just got home from visiting ND, Jim Harbaugh is the first person I’d call too. Except I’d tell him what a fucking dickhead he is and how Michigan is for assholes. Hell, I’d probably call him everyday and tell him that. And my parents would too.

I'm gonna bump my post in light of all the Harbaugh news
