Seems odd. II is by invite only, correct? I wonder if the staff has contacted him and invited him to compete at II?

What seems odd IM3? Just curious.

II is invite only. They are definitely in contact. Allen started following Rees, Long, McKiney and Loy since the 5th.

I'll bet he visits once before II, my guess is the B-G game and then camps in June.

That his comments yesterday went from no ND contact to him visiting ND soon. I've heard some speculation about an II invite that would go against the "no ND contact" comment. So I was just curious.

Gotcha. Not EVille of course but I'm guessing he hadn't heard anything (passively) but then after he made the post, actively checked in with his source and found out differently.

I have 100% confidence in EVille and his source. Can confirm, they've been thoroughly vetted. lol

Exactly. Was with my source last night, and he wasn’t aware of any contact but said it would probably be soon he thought.

were in 2019 not 1985

I don't know what that means, bad english aside. Look at all the top schools in the country, at least the perennial top 10-15. They sign top talent at almost all positions every year.

So please tell me again about what year it is and how you have some special insight into player psyches in the year 2019

The only program where this really applies is Bama. And even then, it’s not really the romantic ideas that the best want to compete for spots with the best... it’s because they know they will likely win a championship and get drafted in the first two rounds if they wait their turn.

No other program keeps guys from consecutive classes in line like Bama. It just doesn’t work for any other school in today’s world.

So I went and looked and I partially retract? Because I can name a number of schools that sign top QBs almost every year: USC, Stanford, Georgia recently, Bama, Clemson and I'm sure there are others but I'm tired.

Point being, highly rated QBs sign in successive years at many schools. They may eventually transfer if they don't win the job but rarely are players going to another school for less competition. It can happen so apologies for being a dick.

Really hope we end up with Brady.

In-State 2022 QB Brady Allen Reviews 'Amazing' Notre Dame Visit

David McKinney • BlueAndGold.com

On Tuesday, Notre Dame began to look even deeper into the future of the position when they hosted 2022 in-state quarterback Brady Allen of Fort Branch (Ind.) Gibson Southern.

“The visit was amazing,” Allen told Blue & Gold Illustrated. “It was my first trip up here so I was really blown away by the school, facilities, and the history of Notre Dame football.”

After visiting, Allen said his interest in the Irish immediately shot up.

“I’m extremely high on Notre Dame,” Allen said. “Being an in-state kid is really exciting because I grew up watching ND football.”

“I talked to Coach Rees, Coach Elston, Coach Polian, and Coach Quin,” Allen explained. “Our conversations were great. I got to meet them all for the first time and give them some background on me and my family. I’m just a Freshman, so the recruiting process is new to me. It’s great to get input on how to handle the recruiting process.”

“Having an offer from Notre Dame would be unreal, especially with the academics and history of Notre Dame."
