Not to disagree with you on the whole but in this case the guy they unearthed has a dad who played football at ND.

So...that makes something I said incorrect? You think we took him because his dad played at ND? Or that's how they found him? How'd they find Amorion Walker? Gobaira? Did they both have dads at ND?

It really feels like the staff didn't take flyers on 3 star kids this year. Somehow they unearthed some absolute stud 3 stars before the other big programs found them. Whatever they are doing in the recruiting department is working.

Yeah Usually ND's class is filled with ~5 guys that are more or less "depth chart fillers" on the surface. Really feels like Hinish is the only guy who fits that description this year. Maybe Ashton Craig too but a lot of people are high on him.

Raridon takes on Nwankpa this weekend.

BK, Freeman, O’Leary, Mickens and McNulty all expected to be in attendance per Loy

Other part of the staff all seeing IMG vs LaSalle.

I guess this was more a X update than Raridon but I saw Raridon’s thread lol

247 bumped him to a 90 rated, 4 star. And Trieu seemed to imply he could jump into the top 247 when that update comes later month.

Bro if he can be as good as people talk, I feel like we finally won't have a year or two of down TE play between great players. Kmet to Mayer is the first one we had since Eifert to Niklas, unless I'm somehow missing somebody.

The effort blocking reminds me of Q. Drop one dude and go looking for another. Finish the block until he's on the ground.

The effort and physicality on that first play is a "this is how you know I'm good enough to play at ND" clip.

I call it the “looking for work” attitude. Some employees have it and others don’t.

To me he seems really quick for 6'6 aand 230. He is not afraid to block either. Has the potential to be another very good tight end for ND.

Wow, thought he was definitely a top 10 tight end in the class but surprised by that big a move. Not many guys with his length that can move that well I suppose.

If you watch his film it is an accurate assessment. He is athletically and physically advanced for his size.

Great news for Eli and great news for the class. He's a tremendous athlete. I made the comment a long time ago that he had 1st round upside and I still feel that way. He's got that unique TE upside that only a few guys every class have.

A #64 ranking makes Eli the second highest TE recruit of the Kelly era behind Mike Mayer on 247.

Nice when the services see it as it is. Dude is the prototype.

How they are still missing on Devin Moore so bad is a reminder what a flawed system we deal with.

Throw this out there... Watch out for a late growth spurt like his dad or the Alt's. All were TE's until they weren't. Not a prediction, just a possibility based on family history.
