Losing really good depth players never seems like a big deal until it is. The guy had 4 rec. for 115 yards and 2 TD’s when we needed him most.

One of the TE’s “ahead” of him, who I’ve loved as a talent since HS, has had two major knee injuries. The other will be coming back off a torn ACL.

This is not positive roster turnover.

No one wants to lose Staes but you were always losing one of him, Evans, Raridon or Flanagan. So take your pick.

Notre Dame was 5 deep at TE. Someone was bound to transfer. Good luck.
We were?

We now will have 2 young with minimal experience TEs starting out next year

Raridon and Flannagan. Now, both I think can and will be good, but that's not the depth you want with Sherwood and then Larsen as back ups

(assuming evans isn't really ready next year)

Does anybody have any idea as to TE snap counts since Evans' injury?
This will be clemson, Wake, Stanford in that order

Raridon - 28, 38, 51
Staes - 45, 43, Injured DNP
Flanagan - 9, 18, 30
Sherwood - 1, 0, 20

It's obvious the staff (rightfully so) doesn't want to have to play sherwood, but they will next year early until evans is back or if Larsen is all that.

No, evans may not even be healthy next year.

We would have had Staes, Raridon, Flanagan as recruited scholarship tes with snaps in games. All 3 would have played a good bit

Staes is going to get drafted, but unfortunately for him, Mitch, Eli, and Cooper likely are as well.

Was checking on him and he hasn’t done much this year but did score a TD against NC State. For those keeping track at home, 3 of his 5 career touchdowns and 133 of career 242 yards have come against the Wolfpack

Maybe he should use unlimited transfers to keep moving around to play teams that play NC State every week

TE in the traditional sense is a non factor in Heupal's offense tbf. Most of the time hes actually in his stance behind the OL pass blocking interior rushers then maybe leaking out late

He has 12 receptions, which would be second on our team after Collins. But only 48 yards… What are they using him for? Blown-up bubble screens?

He could’ve stayed and been Ty Washington next year. Doesn’t seem to be what he’s looking for.

Crystal ball back to Notre Dame. Following in Tyler Buchner’s footsteps.
