I don’t blame him he had a few good games early then they stopped throwing to him

This one makes sense, as much as it sucks to say. Can't expect Mitchell, Staes, Eli, and Cooper to all stay.

Evans is out for a while, Raridon is coming back from 2 acls so it would seem Holden would be the feature guy for bowl prep and the spring at least. Not sure why he would be thinking about the portal.

Why aren’t these kids signing contracts with schools? Give some predictability at least.

WTF. This is the first one that hurts.
Put it this way. Would you rather lose Mitchell Evans, Eli Raridon, or Staes? That's the likely answer as to why. He's a good starting power 5 tight end that will be 3rd on the depth chart come October next year.

Not really. Flanagan is the best blocking TE as a freshman in recent ND history. He would probably be taking Staes spot next year

With the injury history at TE and ND's use of multiple TE sets Staes leaving would definitely hurt. A duo of him and a healthy Raridon would be nice

Good start to the season. He was terrible against Clemson. Just an absolute wtf game for him. Bummed about it but we will be fine

We have 5 tes on the roster next year.. not shocking one transfers…

My only issue is why did we only ever split staed outside to block when he’s tall and can really run, another misuse

Let’s all overreact to a trend that is happening all over college football but OH MY GAWD - IT SHOULDN’T HAPPEN AT NOTRE DAME!!!
Right? This is the final covid year I believe. We are going to see a ton of transfers. Not only is ND not seeing a mass exodus (see Indiana) but every transfer makes sense on paper.

Correll basically lost his job.
Nana wants to start.
Tyree is a slot WR on a team that loves 12 personnel.
Really Tobias is the only one that hurts but he probably needs a fresh start.

Yep - there will be ~1200 kids in the portal this offseason.

Wait has he actually announced anything, or is everyone freaking out because of one post from a non-staff member on II?

Would be a bummer - appeared to be a solid receiving tight end. He’s a god awful blocker, but seems willing, so room to improve. More of a “normal” PT/depth transfer that has always happened if he goes.

You would think with his size he would be a better blocker. He dropped a few too many passes second half of the season. I think it’s a mistake for any of them to leave without their degree since they won’t be making a living at the next level. Faison was already better than Tyree and played faster than Tyree.
