Yeah I would think this comes down to if they think his frame can handle the weight they would want to put on. Maybe some of these teams dont think thats the case.

Still thought to be the same. Think I read he might have a date in mind that’s important like birthday or something. But UNC or Bama and could come at any point is still the expectation

Like I said, never got the indication he wasn’t a take for Bama. Would have been interesting to been part of the silence/murmurs last few weeks but Morrison and Bellamy shut that door. Don’t think his level of “take” with us was ever talent related just #s already under the belt + Nwankpa

Not a great look for Jake but I will say that Kirby Smart called him an idiot and “stupid“ during his press conference (unless it was a doctored video). I wonder if Smart publicly referred to the 30 players arrested or ticketed since the beginning of 2023 as idiots and stupid?

His head coach knows the details. If you look at the full quote he acknowledges that it was a high school friend and that Pope was embarassed about it, but says that it was still a stupid thing to be doing in public.

"What an idiot," Smart said. "I mean what a -- just stupid. I didn't see it until today. He's [Pope] embarrassed about it. He's upset about it. It's obviously a childhood friend of his he grew up and played with there at Buford. Hadn't seen him in forever. But, just not real smart. But to be honest with you, I'm not going to waste energy on that. My focus is on Tennessee. I'm not worried about that."

I think that's a perfectly valid take from a football coach.
