LSU has a habit of turning ~6'0 ~200lb dudes into animals at OLB.

Pack 20lbs of muscle on them and let them run around the flats and come off the edge sometimes... it's what they do lol.

Don't they turn them into more 6'0 235 monsters ala Devin White? lol

Maybe he isn't taller, but I feel like he might be thicker than thought. He looks well put together.

Question for everyone: do you think he may be larger than we currently think if LSU at one point propositioned him to play LB? 6'0, 200 pounds doesn't sound like a potential linebacker to me. If maybe he was closer to 6'1" 215 I could see it.

So I guess my question is: does anyone think that maybe he's a bigger back than listed?

Freebie from Sinclair:
https://247sports.com/Article/New-Orleans-Trainer-Discusses-Notre-Dame-Commit-Logan-Diggs-159553142/

Quote from his trainer:

Brock: “That’s the thing. Logan’s 6-1, 205. He plans on being 6-1, 215, give or take 10 – 15 pounds. And he has the size of any college or NFL team’s starting receiver, you know? Being able to motion that out from running back to receiver with how smooth and graceful he is, it’s special. It really is special. And I’m not just saying that because he’s my guy. I can’t wait to see him (at the next level).”

Even if he signs and shows up on campus, I fully expect a transfer after his freshman year.

My thoughts exactly... If not after his FR year then sometime for sure.

Fair prediction, but you can probably say the same about anyone who signed in December or who is currently on the roster now. He could go to LSU and realize it isn't for him all the same.

It's really no different than when assistant coaches leave, too. They're human beings, not property.

Diggs needs to realize that running backs all have a certain amount of carries in them staring at the Division I Power Five level and through the NFL. The shelf life isn't long and with the way teams are passing today at every level, Emmitt Smith's rushing record is likely safe for a long time. Sell the Forty Year Decision thing and all you can do is say you tried. Doesn't sound like the staff has given up on him.

Everything I’ve read says the same thing. Not saying he’s elite but I’m more impressed by the competition he faced in a state full of elite football talent. I’ll take a 3-star from LA over a 3-star from the Midwest or North all things being equal. Fans that are over analyzing this based on pure speculation should cut the kid some slack. I haven’t seen any concrete evidence that he’s a “flake” or wants out of his NLI. If that were the case, I’d trust ND to cut him loose as they’ve dealt w/ this before.

Maybe there is evidence for this on a national scale, but just based on our past recruiting I am highly skeptical. Quite a few of our better 3 star players have been from the Midwest and Northeast. I would expect LSU to have a good hit rate on 3 stars in a state they pretty much own (or at least lease from Bama), but that doesn't necessarily translate to us having similar success with the 3 stars down there.

Why an announcement? He's committed. Why not announce you're decommitting first and then have an announcement ceremony?

Wait.. that's right! He can't decommit because he already signed (per the industry) he just kept it quiet.

The most important fact here is no CB's/FC's being flipped. They all have the info for the announcement packets. Someone would break rank and rat him out if he was flipping or getting out of his LOI or whatever you want to call it.

I mean kids do this all the time. Turn on the UA or AA game and you get kids picking up hats even though they are verbally committed every year. They just enjoy having “their day”

That’s why I explicitly added “all things being equal”

Whatever his decision is I don't think this hurts ND in any way unless he becomes a star within the next couple of years. I don't think he'll see the field as a freshman, I think Estime is the better back between the 2, and if he doesn't choose ND it saves them a scholarship.

The LSU side speculated that we either have a officially “signing” with ND or a verbal to LSU. That he wouldn’t be able to officially sign w/ LSU rn (likely the LOI speculation)

so perhaps ND isnt letting him out of LOI?

I don’t think it’d be that, just hoops to jump through that he potentially wouldn’t have been able to complete by today

I thought Kelly didn't recruit

Looking forward to see what he can bring to the RB group.
