There are some other clips on Singer's timeline as well.

Is he so tall that he doesn't look fast, or does he lack elite speed?

He'd basically be Randy Moss if he had elite speed. He's a long strider, a state medalist high jumper, and looks very well built. He's not a burner but that's not, and never has been his game.

No one though Claypool was that fast due to his height. Then he burned up the combine. In fairness though Claypool is not very "quick", and he is a long speed / long strider. I like what Colzie offers. Not sure he'll be another Claypool type, but at minimum could be a great possession guy.

Singer was also saying that he was a little banged up going into the game. Knee collision. Nothing serious but a little ginger.

And, he plays both ways. Singer mentioned the above coupled with this, at times he seemed a little gassed. S on Def. and WR on O.

He’ll need to get really serious about his route running and getting in and out of his breaks. But, if he does, he’ll be an NFL’er for sure. Most HS WR’s this tall, at this age, need to work on that. So, not a big deal. In fact, I remember how Kelly talked about Floyd’s route running going into his Junior Year.

That's a huge S. Can't be too slow and pull off playing a DB at that height, even if it is SS.

LL do you know what kind of O his HS team runs?

He looks "slow", but I can all but guarantee that has more to do with his gate/build than actually being slow. Me thinks he'll be a high 4.5s guy to start and wouldn't be surprised if he's a high 4.4/low 4/5 by the time Balis is done with him.

Definitely more Miles than Chase. Not a bad thing. Both great.

Not sure when we'll quite see another Chase. That dude has some LeBron type of athleticism/build type.

It's early though. I don't think Chase was Chase this early either.

Well, that's cause he was playing football in Canada. He was always a freak athlete, which is why we wanted him so bad, whether he ended up at WR or LB.

Well, technically no one knows, since Kelly doghouse'd him a couple years lol

But there's plenty of evidence to support that he was always this "naturally gifted". Go look at his HS basketball film. Kelly mentioned several times that he was more impressed with his BB film that FB since his FB competition was so weak.

Chase issue, other than "traits", was that he was just so darn raw. He didn't have the finesse at running routes etc.

I'm willing to bet Colzie is already better there than Chase (or Miles) was at this age.

Still wish he would have ended up at LB

Agree on the naturally gifted aspect of things. Not sure I'd say he's better than Chase and Miles. Just so much we don't know. And Chase, it's just so hard to compare anyone to him due to the CA thingy.

Honest question. Have we ever had a really good WR that didn't spend a least a little time in the doghouse lol.

It's conjecture but part of me feels like if he would have put him at LB, we'd be making the same jokes about how we almost thought it was a good idea to put a 1st-2nd round LB on offense.

Maybe. I'm just glad it worked out. I'm still a bit butt hurt the Colts didn't take him over Pittman.

Ran a 4.56 last year at the opening

Great news! He's a long, fast kid from Georgia with great hands. Gotta love it.
