I can't believe our fan base has miserable people who can't root for a guy who returned and is walking on. He's not taking up a single scholarship. Really having a hard time seeing the negatives in this move.

Seems like the coach and the team are going to welcome him back with open arms, he's excited to contribute in any way he can. This kid is easy to root for, even if his role is a minor one.

I'm going to die laughing if he works his way to one (if a happy for him, but this wild kind of way)

Need to update this thread title...again lol

Should probably read "Tyler-Buchner-ND-Prodigal-Son"

For real though, gotta root for this kid to succeed. With Hartman coming in, Tyler did what he thought was best for his career. He came home after, hat in hand, knowing this is the place he wants to be. He could be a fantastic Scout QB, and any extra depth in the WR room is a blessing after last season.

I'm seeing Deja Vu though...when we're up 42-10 against FSU in a freezing game in November, we're going to see Buchner take some snaps at QB ala Wimbush against FSU in 2018.

Who is rooting against him?

Again. He’s walking on as a Wide Receiver.

Canonize and Giddyup aren't exactly in favor of this.

I will reconsider and retract my comment as overly mean spirited and driven by resentment at how mediocre he was as a QB and the bama transfer. I hope he can succeed and help us out this fall

WR recruiting at an all time low. Maybe we can get Jack Coan back to play slot. But seriously this is Del’s fault.

I still think if we had him last year we beat Ohio State. He couldn’t come in on those short downs and converted. If Leonard gets hurt and Angeli starts, don’t be surprised to see Buchner in a QB role mostly just to run and get first downs.

Totally would've been in on that last drive.

Just kidding, I think he would have found a valuable roll with his running.
