I would have preferred a superstar QB but none really out there unless Pratt changes his mind, but then you also can't wait when it comes to the portal. So I am resigned to that (what it looks like as of now) at least we have a QB who invested in building out his transfer team with helping to get WRs and others and hey, like Lawrence Trevor back in Freshman year and taking over from Kelly Bryant in like Game 4, if for some reason, RL is not cutting it, there's a great chance that Carr or of course Minchey or Angeli (if still around) could be ready to step in and lead the charge. Bottom line, I think we'll be a'right

My only real chief concern is what the hell is going to come from Parker as OC and the O. To date, nothing has been proven that he can guide the O to victory over a top game opponent... Definitely remains to be seen and gives me a lot of anxiety and RL is NOT Trevor Lawrence, that's for sure.

I really haven't been sold on any QB at ND since Wimbush. Unfortunately, I was wrong on that one. Before that it was Golson. Before that, Clausen. I am there again with Leonard, but even more so than anyone besides Clausen. He has first round draft ceiling and he has leadership ability. His ability to run is Buchner like. But he’s significantly bigger and a more consistent passer and evidently a way more vocal and animated leader. Please lock this up. I’m feeling emo.

I am hoping he is a much better leg threat than Buchner. Buchner was underwhelming in that regard the times I saw him (except for his first play).

Agree. I think Tyler is a great athlete but he was such an inconsistent passer that everyone knew he was going to run after that Ohio State game. Leonard seems like a guy that could rip it if you give him time. And coach him up a little. His reputation will keep defenses honest. Particularly early in the season vs ATM. Looking at our schedule we could be favored to win every game outside of Florida State if we can get through that first one.

Book was better than Golson. Golson was just too small, little taller and he could have been Heisman

Legitimate question: how much will FUND spend on a qb? Seems we are outbidding others. Also, where does this money actually come from? Most ND alumni seem smarter than investing money in 20 year old athletes
