Yeah, I was kind of disappointed with the numbers. You would think having Landow would help, but apparently not.not that 40 time means everything, but it's kind of crazy how underwhelming most of the 40 times are.
I'd have thought that Clark would be near the 4.5 range, yet he's in the mid 4.6's.
Harrison being near 4.6 is surprising considering that he was seen more as a burner type return specialist.
Heard at 5'10 and 4.63 is insane. Mitchell at a 4.5 flat is objectively good, but wasn't he supposed to be Fuller-esque in terms of speed, yet Fuller ran a 4.32.
All that aside, despite the underwhelming times, this defense definitely played faster than the 40 times would indicate.
Also, pro days are all hand timed. So it should be a little bit slower.Yeah, I was kind of disappointed with the numbers. You would think having Landow would help, but apparently not.
I will say, one of the reporters on a podcast mentioned before that players don't love testing at ND because the turf is slow.
But, OTOH, Evans actually ran .05 seconds faster than the combine, so unless the extra prep time did him a bunch of good, I don't know how slow the turf really is.
The LB played for us but transferred. Bro is the LT for Carolina. Im assuming that Antonio Carter is the one who transferred in and did nothing.Anyone know who those 3 guys at the bottom of the Pro Day list are?
I do love that guys who (even if barely) played for us and transferred out seem to be always welcome back to pro day. Classy. The LB played for us but transferred. Bro is the LT for Carolina. Im assuming that Antonio Carter is the one who transferred in and did nothing.

I think Bowen is going to have a huge year, it will be a revenge tour type of year. To me he has that 'it' factor.
A revenge to win again to get back to the national championship game, not the revenge in a bad way on any team or person.Agree that he's going to have a huge year and destroy some backs, but revenge on who?
I don't remember him being disrespected or even having a really bad game. He wrecked everyone they played except NIU.
Yep, no irony here. I agree it's a good thing for us to do, with zero downside. I doubt that Charlotte (where Ekwonu transferred) or Jacksonville State (Carter) draw anything like the scouts that we do, and if coming to ours helps them get noticed, that's great. Ekwonu was here for years and got his degree. Would be shitty of us to not have him back.I don't mean to be shitty, but why is this a "classy" kind of pushback?
We recruited him to transfer, I assume he and we formed relationships during the recruiting process and while he was here, now we can offer him a reasonable pro-day even though it didn't work out.
Seems like a good thing to do on a human level, and when prospects talk, he'll say "man they treated me good even though they didn't have to."
Costs ND very little and seems like a lot of goodwill
EDIT: Whoa... maybe I just misread stlnd01's whole point. It wasn't a sarcastic "classy", it was an unironic one? If so, my bad. Things are so mean and whatnot lately, it's hard to tell sometimes. Mea culpa if that's what you meant.
I’ve been pretty steady on this last season. Price, to me, just bounces everything out. I thought Williams was clearly the better back between the two…he runs harder, has better vision, is shiftier, he’s a better receiving threat and pass blocker. But what the hell do I know? There isn’t. But what’s not being talked about enough is I think Aneyas Williams is a legit threat to jump Price as the #2 back. Besides straight line speed, Williams does everything else better.
Miami Envy?Stumbled into this thread on a filthy Miami board.
OP's nephew is a walk on converted team manager at ND and he shared some info I thought was interesting, including the post below.

Botehlo, Angeli/carr, Shuler, someone else on D…some initial thoughts. I love Bowens edgeThere's 1 captain. Probably gotta find 1 more (I assume Greathouse and Love are gimmes)
Or Wagner. It's good vibes to have an OL as a captain.Schrauth
I don't know about shiftier. Price does a phenomenal job of changing direction running at full speed. He also has more success running between the tackles than I think you're giving him credit for. Granted, I think he does need to be better as a pass blocker and receiver.I’ve been pretty steady on this last season. Price, to me, just bounces everything out. Kendren Young4th and 1 with your life on the line. Who’s getting the ball: Price or Williams?
I’m going Williams.

I hope I’m never in a position where my life is on the line and a 4th and 1 conversion is what determines my fate. My luck would have Sanchez and the butt fumble the result.4th and 1 with your life on the line. Who’s getting the ball: Price or Williams?
