I know it's the cool thing to exaggerate players' deficiencies, but I am pretty confident Price had more runs for more than 25 yards than losses of 5.

Probably, because something has to go very wrong for a loss of 5 to happen on a running play. His problem was there was a lot of plays of no gain or a loss of a yard or two. A lot of the ND beat mentioned this last year.

Crazy that there are a few of you guys down on JD. We are extremely fortunate to have him. He is a home run threat every time he touches the ball and makes the first guy miss often. We are blessed to have many great backs, no reason to discredit JD. We are blessed to have him.

He is a great complimentary back to Love and is a true home run threat. He had a few exciting touchdown runs last year, especially the one at A&M.

It’s fair to say that he doesn’t need to bounce everything outside. That is the cause for a lot of his carries of negative or no yards. Being appreciative of a player and saying he could improve an aspect of his game can exist at the same time.

I think this is the part that some might be missing. Last season was effectively JD's first at the major college level. I think he will take a huge step forward in understanding that not every play needs to be a home run. Sometimes it takes a minute for guys to understand that a 3-5 yard gain is a success (Logan Diggs from season 1 to season 2). Price is a smart player - I think he takes that next step.

I believe he tries to hit the home run every carry because he’s limited to a handful of touches a game. If he was getting fed more, he’d probably be more patient.

Season isn't here, but I'm quite shocked (and thrilled) that it looks like Love and Price will both be back.

Prolly weakest back ground music the tech team has had in awhile.

Fucking sign me up if we have Justin Jefferson and Jamar Chase like clones on this team right now. Greathouse had less than 600 yards as our leading receiver. Pump the brakes here Greg. Day drinking isn't a good look.

When Greathouse was fit at the end he had 800 or those 600 yards in 2 days muthaferka. If these trends continue…eeey.

Unless you have a tee time on the golf course, where time is made up and the number beers of don't matter.

Considering the receivers he has compared to Joe B I'll have to disagree

Not sure what compelled Greg to share this take. Comparing a random backup QB to the greatest single season we've ever seen played at the QB position? I'm a big Angelli fan, but that's a STRETCH to say the least.

I think he could be a very good starting QB, but there are loads of comparisons that make more sense than Joe fricken Burrow.

Did you know about Joe Burrow before he became "Joe fricken Burrow"?

Lol, of course I did. We've all heard the story. It was a herculean leap, and one that also had the benefit of two of the greatest WRs of our era, who will probably go down as two of the greatest WRs to ever do it by the time they hang it up.

It's a major stretch. An odd take.

Angeli as Burrow, well, let's not get a head of ourselves here...that said, I've mentioned this before, but I've always been extremely impressed with Angeli's confidence, control, and poise. Many QBs (extremely talented ones at that) can't read defenses and crumble under pressure on the big stage. Angeli came in the Penn State game and looked like a seasoned veteran. He looked so confident that I thought they'd have a big decision to make at halftime (i.e., stick with Angeli or put Leonard back in). Confidence and grit...that's something you can't coach. You either have it or you don't.
