Wait what?

I generally believe that Notre Dame players get habitually overrated in early mock drafts - as Love may be here - and I haven't watch Fields play enough to have much of an opinion, but if he's really a top 10 pick level talent, that'd be a huge win for us.
Yeah. There seems to be a wide variance on how people feel about Fields. I saw a set of rankings the other day that ranked him as the 8th best WR in college football this upcoming season, which had me juiced.

He’ll be better than what we’ve had in a while but #8 Overall NFL draft feels insane. Possible, yes, but not the expectation.

Just looking at stats on him he's pretty tempting for these mock draft things.

Two straight 800+ yard seasons and he's a very big guy. Top ten for a 5th year wide receiver seems optimistic though?

Yeah. If Fields was really THAT good he’d have probably been at least a second-day pick this year instead of transferring to a team that’s breaking in a first-year QB.

But watching his highlights briefly, was impressive. Michael Floyd vibes where they’d throw him that bubble screen and he’d just truck some DBs. That was our whole offense in 2011.

Damm ... I hope the Biggun doesn't leave after basically one year of play for us.

Give us at least two full seasons Charles!!!

I’m predicting that ND will be top 3 in the next 3-5 years with NFL draft picks

I think Sanders and Dart probably have close to the same odds to succeed and develop into a franchise guy or thereabout. However both were good enough value where they were taken for both teams to take that shot. Time will tell
I don't see either as FRANCHISE guys but if I were rating them on a scale to 10 i'd give Sanders a 5 and Dart a 6 that it happens but on potential (it could happen)I'm going 6 and 7.5 and I think that's basically what they looked at. A statuesque in the pocket guy who holds the ball forever w/average arm vs dual threat guy with good arm.

I just wanna know how Deion Fricken Sanders has a son who can’t run…

The layer this doesn’t address is that Deion is in the damn Falcons’ Ring of Honor lol. Just so hilariously cringe.

I’d make my kid fly on his own dime to go personally apologize to Shedeur AND Tyler Warren.

If you take out where everyone was drafted, the Browns might have had one of the best drafts. They grabbed two top 10 overall projected players. They also grabbed one of if not the best running back in the draft and Sampson. There will be drama but from a video game or paper standpoint it was a good draft.

Found this interesting. It also mentions that overall, mocks got 28 of 32 1st round picks right (players not picks).

"He slid down mock draft boards over the past two months, but his average position, according to more than 2,400 mocks Robinson analyzed just before the draft began on Thursday, was 20.7, well within the first round."

The Athletic's (way too early) 2026 mock draft has Love going 14th (to Dallas). One spot behind old friend Carnell Tate. Our only first-rounder.
It also has Arch Manning going #1. Lol maybe let him actually play a little college football first?

8. Cleveland Browns: Malachi Fields, WR, Notre Dame

14. Dallas Cowboys: Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame

19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Charles Jagusah, OG, Notre Dame

This is certainly click bait at this point...but has Notre Dame had a skill position player on offense drafted in the top ten of the draft in over 30 years?

Quick research shows the last time was the 93 draft with Bettis and Mirer
Am I forgetting anyone?
Michael Floyd was close at 13th

Crazy if true, and if Malachi Fields or Love can break that trend I would be over the moon!

Would he even have been drafted this year? I mean he came back for a reason.
