Well let's get past ESPN and their awful graphics. Anyone wanna take me up on a friendly bet that Sanders doesn't go in the 2nd round?

Your friendly local Sportsbook will, I can get 20/1 on Sanders not being taken in the 2nd. Go pay off your mortgage!

This guy is a team first player right? 42 sacks and putting it on your Oline is great. I’m sure the Oline loved how low he would hold the ball. CO did not play SEC level competition. Rude awakening coming his way and his bro won’t be in a roster this year.

Moar mockage? Yes please!

CBS sees the future

Pick 49 Cincy= Benmo to Golden

Pick 83 Pitt = Xavier Watts

SI still exists I swear!

Pick 49 Cincy = Watts to Golden

Pick 54 Green Bay = Benmo
I wanted GB to take Will Johnson, I know he's banged up but he's so good when healthy. Told my buddies last night that Benmo on day 2 would be a really nice consolation prize. Someone is getting a steal with Benmo, he's a first round talent....

So after taking a DT in the top five (after drafting multiple DTs recently) I’m wondering what else they can do today to fit this ‘1965’ vibe,… maybe take a fullback in the second then trade out and grab a pure blocking tight end?

Remember when Clausen dropped into the second round? His ego needed some humbling because his freshman campaign wasn’t enough. Waiting for this issue to become the less talented white kid getting picked ahead of sanders. We have the future to judge how this all goes down. ESPN using the Kenny picket Steelers mistake as a reason they might not have picked Shaduer. How many stars did SS have?

Sanders falling has ZEROOOOO to do with Dad. He's a classless prick. That is it. Everyone is scared to make this guy the face of their team.

Supposedly his NFL interviews were brutal. That will come when you are entitled and have zero self awareness.

His OC giving a comparison to Daniel Jones sure as shit didn’t help out. Getting sacked 68 times over 2 years neither. I’m not sure what to make of Sanders as a player and how he projects to the league. I wish him the best though, and I’m sure he will get a chance somewhere today.

SIAP. I haven't been following the draft stuff much. The national title game took it out of me and I needed a break from everything. With that said, while watching the first round last night, I kept thinking how many players from Michigan, OSU, Bama, Georgia, and PSU went in the first round. ND had none, yet still beat PSU and Georgia and had a nice little comeback against OSU (after going toe-to-toe the previous two seasons). I kept thinking, just wait until ND's first round potential players start maturing into their third and fourth seasons. It's crazy to me how good ND looked last season relative to how young they were at a lot of positions. They're loaded with potential first round players, but all of whom aren't draft eligible yet.

First natty team since 2014 to have no first round picks. And in a 12 teamer against 2 of the teams who did (PSU and UGA) is pretty incredible

Your last line says it all, we've got a lot of talent on this team but they'll be in the 2026 and 2027 draft.

You guys are the QB experts so I won't chime in on the "story of the day." The vibes that I got throughout the first round were that the whole league has awakened to the absolute necessity of having the better BIGS (I attribute some of the final awareness of this to the Detroit coaching staff.) Monster-after-monster were coming off the board high. D-Line especially, but O-Line too.

I have one hope due to these intuitions: Lots of teams want not only first team D-Linemen, but second team D-Linemen also. MAYBE that will play well for our guys in the draft in these coming rounds.

Mike Vrabel's first draft pick with the Patriots being Will Campbell was absolutely glorious.

I think he'll be an All Pro mainstay provided he stays relatively healthy.

I don't remember which site I was on, but several scouts and GM's said they expected him to fall out of the first round because he needed a lot of work and his interview was a "me first" meeting. One of them said he made you feel little. All of them said it was the worst interview they have ever done.

That “little” comment says it all.

If you’re an NFL front office guy at a losing program (AKA a team in need of a QB1) you need to be able to handle a big ego on a superstar

I think on SBNation there was an article that talked about how coaches are worried about Sanders' "ability" to drift in the pocket as cause for concern. Being that he was under pressure a lot, he would feel phantom pressure and drift in the pocket, leading to backfoot throws with less than desirable velocity.

He also just doesn't have many NFL tools.

First three picks make over 8 mil there first year, second rounders start at about 2 mil and slowly go down from there. Crazy how much he lost because of these off the field concerns
