While we wait for @arrowryan

Reliable Source:

CARR VS MINCHEY

Carr:
- Pressing a bit, it shows with being overly aggressive in trying to force throwing windows
- Not a “turnover machine” by any means, but is taking more unnecessary risks than expected
- Pocket presence continues to improve, but needs to keep getting better at climbing the pocket and knowing when to cut his losses and throw it away
- Elite feel for touch and placement… but this goes back to forcing windows, as he trusts his own arm too much at times
- Internally, it was believed Carr would take hold of the starter position, unless there was a total regression. He has regained and surpassed his spring form, but needs to keep distancing himself from Minchey, as Minchey has turned it on

Minchey:
- Has progressed his game holistically, shoring up spring shortcomings and improving in many areas
- Footwork and pocket presence better
- Used to bail and use his feet, now climbing the pocket consistently
- Intermediate and deep throws continue to get better, but still need work
- Grasp of the offense continues to improve, but also needs to keep getting better
- Leadership value improving

OVERALL:
- It was assumed that Minchey would need to make big strides to turn this into a true battle… he’s answered the call
- Things should be cleared up in the next week
- Carr still the edge if he continues to improve from his Spring form
- Minchey more than capable of being a quality starter if Carr continues to press

Appreciate you sharing what you've been told because that's all you can do, but damn if that doesnt read like exactly what we've been getting told over the last 2 weeks now lol.
Ehh, I mean from Irishlion’s post he makes it seem like Carr has surpassed his spring performance, whereas previous bits of info made it sound like regression

The status quo… has not changed.

Kenny making it a fight, prolonging this camp QB battle.

If it’s all accurate, it spells only good things for the team and the overall potential of the offense imo

Wait why is there an unidentified person possibly in an orange jumpsuit headed toward Arrow's cell...I mean car?

Absolutely agree with this. The old saying iron sharpens iron. Carr gets out of the battle and gets into game mode where he’s not pressing or overthinking and just playing, is how the team hits their ceiling.

What is Minchey's weakness? Arm strength? Accuracy? Progressions?

He appears to have a much quicker release than Carr.

Freaking dislike that phrase, "Iron sharpens Iron". Such an SEC blurb from the early 2000s..
