Please not BYU
Fuck you. Ban worthy.I still blame Suchner...I mean Buchner. 🤣
Yes the trolls are.Are people that happy to be proven right that they are gloating when we just got kicked in the nuts?
Seriously?!
I'm done with college football until the playoff system is fixed. This level of corruption to protect Alabama is one of the most insane things I've witnessed. What is the fucking point of playing a whole season, if at the very end, a bunch of suits just say "thanks, but sorry, you're out, because we said so." I'm done.
ND needs to file a lawsuit against whomever they can. The amount of the money that cost the university should not go unnoticed. ND should not stand for being bullied. Take a stand.
ND has plenty of money. And time. Two 10-2 teams and a 10-3 team that just lost by 21 (!) got in. Something has got to give.Idk im not a big fan of litigation. Its a subjective process to pick the teams and ND opened themselves up to this happening by losing to Miami and TAMU. Would be a waste of time and money to sue over this.
I don't disagree. I get why the committee put Bama in: you shouldn't be punished for playing the extra game in your conference CG. I get it. I can agree with it in some ways, but still think the playoffs should just be the 12 best teams. I don't think my guys played like they are yesterday. I'd rather ND have gotten in and Bama just gone to a decent bowl where we have a good chance to finish the season with a win.Damien Harris and Mark Ingram both advocated for ND over Alabama
Sun Bowl or no BowlReject any bowl that is played on the E$PN networks.
Sun Bowl or no Bowl
I agree with you. BYU fans started floating this idea last week and I thought they were being a bunch of babies and while I’m more sympathetic to them now I still mostly think that.Idk im not a big fan of litigation. But then why play the game? Teams have always been punished for losing these games. The old format the ESPN heads would say it was all about eye test now it isn't and you can't punish people. It's all bullshit they had to put an ACC team in and Miami deserved it and they were never going to move bama even though the got destroyed like byu and byu droppedI don't disagree. Yup. OSU also dropped. Only team that wasn't punished is bama. But then why play the game? Teams have always been punished for losing these games. I think that committee deliberations should be streamed like CSPAN congressional hearings.I agree with you. BYU fans started floating this idea last week and I thought they were being a bunch of babies and while I’m more sympathetic to them now I still mostly think that.
That being said, the one thing litigation has to recommend it is discovery. The committee’s process is ridiculously opaque, and I would love to force them to make every single scrap of paper they used public.
It was very important to me that I was cheering against Bama. The worst part of all of this is I debased myself cheering for UGA for nothing.
I think it’s hilarious how these CCGs have shifted from “13th data point” to, you can’t penalize a team for losing them (well, at least not the SEC game).I don't disagree. As much as it sucks to see ND get screwed, I still stand by this statement. Don't start 0-2 and this isn't even a conversation today. The worst part of these weekly rankings from espn is a full month of whining, complaining, and hypotheticals instead of people actually talking about football and matchups happening that every week. It serves the lowest common denominator.
Just win and the committee will do what it does. If your team didn't make it, go win more games next year.
God saw what you did and smote thee for your sin.The worst part of all of this is I debased myself cheering for UGA for nothing.
Yeah, I agree. But two 10-2 teams got in. And then a 10-3 team that lost by 21 yesterday. As much as it sucks to see ND get screwed, I still stand by this statement. Don't start 0-2 and this isn't even a conversation today.
Go into Miami with a better game plan offensively.
Don't lose to the Aggies at home on 4th and 11 at the buzzer.
I hope so. I want it to be ugly every damn game next year.
I appreciate the sentiment but feel like the obvious point is there shouldn’t be a CCG period. Why should the top two teams in the SEC & B1G have to play an extra game before the CFP? These conferences are approaching 20 teams so there’s not way to truly crown a champion b/c they only play 8-9 conference games so some of these teams don’t play each other for years. For example OSU & Illinois just played each other for the first time in a decade.I don't disagree. It’s literally extra credit. All upside, no downside.I think it’s hilarious how these CCGs have shifted from “13th data point” to, you can’t penalize a team for losing them (well, at least not the SEC game).
