Nussmeier is good. A good QB will mask alot of coaching inadequacies. LSU will beat some good teams this year.

Man there were some questionable decisions late:

Under 2 minutes, screen pass to LSU RB, stopped the clock. If he just took a sack or ran it would have taken another 30 seconds off the clock.

Most of the 2nd half, USC QB struggles under pressure but they just played 3 or 4 down on that last drive. Let USC get into a rhythm and it snowballed from there. Literally no negative plays that entire series and LSU had their backs to the walls the entire time.

I know Al Golden wouldn't just sit back and be passive. I love the fact that he takes the action to the offense and forces their hand.

I thought LSU looked good on defense and their offense showed promise but stalled out. Nussmeier's bounced pass on 2nd down in the RZ was a killer. They needed the clock to bleed and it might've been a TD which puts the pressure back on USC.

USC looked excellent compared to last year. I though their defense looked vastly improved and Miller Moss is a killer. Some of his throws under duress were unreal. USC won that game more than Kelly lost it. This is from someone who loves to see Kelly's face pushed into his messes.

Diaco running his hands through his hair on the sidelines after the targeting call gave me some serious 'werewolves' flashbacks.

Boise State is pretty fun.
Arizona is fun.
Vandy is marginally fun.

LSU is about as fun as a trip to Angola State Pen.

Already posted in the USC thread, but they’re going to be extremely challenging. I was greatly impressed with their defense and its physicality. They’ve improved tremendously.
