I’ll always like BK. Same with every ex coach we’ve had. I know some hate Ty, Davie. Weis, etc… but I never have. They weren’t up to the task and moved on. Same with BK. Things worked out, made the program better and we’re in great shape now. Rooting for USC and Lincoln Riley is just gross to me. Plus, LSU is a fun program. Absolutely nuts.

Vandy is marginally fun.

Bingo. He’s just as asshole, and many of us just shrugged and tolerated him because he was our guy. He’s not our guy anymore, so we let it flow freely.

Boise State is pretty fun.
Arizona is fun.
Vandy is marginally fun.

That program is nuts. Fans are crazy. Death Valley at night is a party. Just the opposite of boring programs like Bama and Georgia. Even their great teams always seem like they play on the edge. It’s part of what makes college football fun.

My old boss was the football manager at Ole Miss and he had some funny stories about road trips to LSU. Different breed there. And how the fuck is Vandy fun?

BK has shown repeatedly that he's a mercenary who views being a HC as a job. ND paid him well for his services, and as soon as LSU would pay him more than ND wanted to, he left. He's not Lou Holtz. I'm not giving him love because he did his job.

What’s the forecast on LSU’s defense this year? I know it wasn’t so hot last year……just wondering if they are projected to be better in that area. The offense looks to be running pretty well.

Very excited about the Blake Baker hire. The defense can only get better. I’m just hoping that the defense is merely average.

I think that’s sort of it. He doesn’t “come across” as a smug, arrogant, unlikable prick. He just is. But when he’s your asshole, you’re sort of obligated to defend him.

Agreed, you state it very well. And that’s cool for BK.

I’ll add that we (most ND fans) saw that he had reached his ceiling. It was time to pass the torch. I see it as a win/win for all parties.

No hurt, no foul. If LSU wants to pay a boat load for BK, then have at it. If ND really wanted to match, they would.
