If we were undefeated we'd still be 7, right? Also if we win do we play Georgia in Georgia?
We’d be the #5 if we just beat NIU…Committee just announced that ND will never be higher than a 7 seed.
They won’t punish a B10 or SECCG loser.
Okay, let's say we beat NIU and lost to A&M. Any reason to think the rankings would have been different?
I think New Orleans? If we were undefeated we'd still be 7, right? Also if we win do we play Georgia in Georgia?
The need to be undefeated.Committee just announced that ND will never be higher than a 7 seed.
They won’t punish a B10 or SECCG loser.
Except...it does.Saban literally just said SOS must matter more than wins.
This shit is just nonsense.
100% this but we still got the worst case scenario possible, lol.Let's go fuck shit up.
Shake down the thunder.
(Also, might be time to join a league, but let's focus on that another day).
Georgia should be hosting the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans via the SEC conference affiliation. If we were undefeated we'd still be 7, right? Also if we win do we play Georgia in Georgia?
He was spot on.I'm with Saban.
Unless you get smoked in the Conference Championship game, I don't think you should drop. If you punish a team who barely loses a Conference Title game, you'd be rewarding teams who don't even make the Conference Championship Game, so it'd be better to not even play in it and risk a close loss.Man I dont think you get it. If they win, they get a huge leg up of a 3 game path to the championship. It's not like they played the game with no potential reward. If you get a positive for winning, there should be repercussions for losing. There was zero repercussion.
Is that a yes or a no? Obviously I agree that we should have beaten NIU, but going 12-0 is difficult and atypical.I would suggest beating NIU is better than not beating NIU.
No. Oregon will give us the hardest game but we can absolutely win against any of these teams
ND would be at #5If we were undefeated we'd still be 7, right? Also if we win do we play Georgia in Georgia?
We’d be the #5 if we just beat NIU…
I’ve always thought wins against AA teams should count as two lossesWhy doesn't playing 1AA teams earn demerit points.
I disagree. UGA has obvious weaknesses.Georgia is the most talented team in the country and when motivated they are an absolute monster.
Georgia would be favored by 4-6 against ORE in my opinion.
There is no such thing as an Indiana football fan. There will be some but not enough people care to go to South Bend and pay those prices. The worst part about this is that there are going to be TONS of Indiana fans at this game... we always have the trope "it's their Super Bowl" but in this case it literally is their biggest CFB game ever and it's a short drive.
Everyone shits on him for "SEC homerism" but he's actually thoughtful about this stuff and cares about the sport. He was spot on.
All ND had to do was beat a NIU team that was .500 in the MAC. They have no one to blame but themselves.PSU took our spot, clear path to semis. Ugh.
What evidence is there that would have mattered? Seriously? Who did PSU beat? All ND had to do was beat a NIU team that was .500 in the MAC. They have no one to blame but themselves.
As much as I want to see a ND run, losing to Georgia in the Sugar Bowl and losing to Georgia in the championship ends up with the same thing. Be the best, beat the best. It was always going to take going through Georgia to win this title. Let's do it.None of it matters. Best UGA and we will win the title, straight up.
