23.4 would still be our highest SP+ rating since the mid 90s, lot of very good, not elite teams this year.

ESPN’s FPI likes us a bit more - has us at 4.

FEI has us at 8 too.

Tend to agree that OSU is better than Texas.

A lot of football left to be sorted out. The Irish’s best bet is to win out and have A&M win out with a huge win versus Texas at the end of the month. Seeding will take care of itself… regardless of what the self proclaimed “experts” believe.

IF we beat both Army and USC, I believe that we end up ranked third or fourth.
... mind-boggling? A little. But everyone tends to forget that defense is half of football.
Notre Dame, this year, might just be THE best overall at that. I think football people see that.

... if Leonard can just bring together some solid games, then ....

Leonard's running ability is unlike our quarterback's of recent years. I know everyone hates the Tebow comparisons, but they're there. The kid forces defense to defend the pass and the threat from his legs. That leaves room for Love, Price, and Williams to work. This won't be like previous years when a top defense makes us one dimensional when they stuff the run. I'm not sure this running game can be stuffed without completely selling out and leaving yourself vulnerable to the slants.

Too bad our WRs seem to have the dropsies even when Leonard gets the ball to them. Success this postseason will depend more on Leonard’s arm than his or the RBs legs.

I believe on The Independent it was confirmed that the CFP Committee requires it.
The only thing the CFP and NCAA has done to ND is fine and penalize them... selling alcohol?? they will have to make them provide a lot of 'bread'.....
